Hi, I’m Kelsey and I specialize in helping Couples, Adults, and Teens. I have worked with clients with symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Anxiety, Depression, Communication, Marital & Relational Conflict, and Group Treatment. My goal is to make each person’s counseling experience unique based upon their needs. I believe everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Counseling is not about having someone take control of your life or "feeling good", counseling is about learning to take control of your life and making changes. It is important for me to create a safe space where you feel comfortable exploring issues in your life. I am CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS and would love to meet you. We are a group practice with 5 therapists currently offering online and face to face sessions for Adults, Teens, and Couples.
I work with clients struggling with unhealthy coping skills and dysfunctional survival traits as an adaptation to a deeper issue. Those struggling with personality challenges, codependency, trauma, obsessive-compulsive (OCD), anxiety, perfectionism, and eating challenges are among my areas of expertise. Trauma populations include, but are not limited to, sexual trauma, military trauma, spiritual trauma, emotional trauma, physical trauma, neglect, and abandonment. I am trained in many types of therapy and have an eclectic approach. I provide psychoeducation from a mindful perspective, utilizing eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and trauma-informed approaches to further enhance and address the goals of the individual. Some other types of services I offer are Gottman Method, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), somatic therapy, and trauma-informed yoga. If somebody is in a situation they cannot get out of themselves, and they are willing to reach out at this time, I am happy to meet and discuss options for treatment. I am willing to refer clients to appropriate levels of care or other specialists, if necessary. My goal is to provide the best care for the individual.
My approach to therapy is deeply rooted in the belief that each individual is unique, with their own experiences, challenges, and strengths. For me, therapy is a collaborative process that evolves over time, requiring patience, trust, and open communication. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard and valued, empowering them to explore their thoughts and emotions at their own pace. I prioritize understanding my client's specific needs and tailor my methods to suit them, recognizing that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution. I aim to facilitate meaningful growth and lasting change through this personalized and dynamic approach.
You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin healing. As your therapist, I won’t rush your process or pressure you to be anyone other than who you are. I provide a calm, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, explore what’s weighing on you, and reconnect with what truly matters. My approach is grounded in humanistic and existential principles—meaning I see you as the expert on your life, and I’m here to help you uncover your own answers, not hand you mine. I often work with people who feel the weight of responsibility—veterans, high achievers, survivors, who are strong on the outside but silently carrying a lot within. I blend clinical training with lived experience as a Marine Corps veteran, Ironman triathlete, and trauma survivor. You’ll find that I bring depth, directness, and compassion into each session. Whether you’re navigating trauma, identity, anxiety, or purpose, I’ll meet you where you are and walk beside you with respect, clarity, and care.
Transition is often hard. Adjusting between being independent and being in a relationship, adjusting from a school career to a professional career, adjusting to a new sexual or gender identity or simply adjusting to the reality and responsibilities of being an independent adult. Despite often times feeling intelligent and capable, feelings of being stuck, depression and anxiety seem to get the best of you in this present moment. Transition can cause one to question one's self identity and self worth. There are approaches to adapt to these changes and create a more meaningful approach to identity and life. I approach these adjustments and transitions in life as unique experiences of change and growth. While feelings of doubt, confusion, and depression are normal. I like to help individuals and couples navigate through these feelings through personal reflection and acknowledgment. I encourage both personal empowerment as well as openness to new approaches. I have been drawn to this field to build relationships and work collaboratively to help others realize where they are and where they want to be. While I do not accept insurance as Licensed Professional Counselor at this time, I do offer free phone consultations and relatively affordable sessions for adolescents, adults and couples.
My approach draws from DBT skills to help you manage overwhelming emotions, improve your relationships, and tolerate distress in healthier ways. Mindfulness practices guide you in cultivating present-moment awareness, reducing self-judgment, and connection. Expressive arts therapy can offer creative avenues to explore feelings and gain new perspectives. Imagine a life where you feel more at peace with yourself, more engaged in your relationships, and clearer about your direction. It's possible to move beyond just coping and start truly living. If you're ready to take the first step towards a more hopeful and empowered future, I invite you to reach out. Let's explore how we can work together
