My warm and caring approach allows my clients to feel safe as I walk beside them throughout their counseling journey.
My communication style is culturally sensitive and multicultural. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel supported in sharing openly and honestly. Building a relationship of trust and collaboration is essential.
Because therapy is not “one-size-fits-all,” our sessions will be adapted based on your specific needs, tailoring the sessions to align with your goals. No matter the challenges you are experiencing, I am committed to collaborating with you on your journey toward your best life. With time and therapeutic support, we can all heal, achieve growth, and become the best versions of ourselves. My mission is to create a secure and empathetic space where you can openly express yourself, gain intrapersonal insight, and feel truly heard. If you are ready to embark on a path of healing, growth, and self-discovery, I am here to support you. We will utilize an eclectic approach of therapies, drawing from solution focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to name a few. Incorporating a holistic perspective, we will consider the impact that past experiences, trauma, and the body have on your life and work toward lasting change. I look forward to working with you and beginning this compassion filled and judgement free journey toward your inner peace.
Mr. Morgan treats individuals, couples, families, and children. Mr. Morgan currently provides clinical supervision to Marriage and Family Counselors. He enjoys working with clients who have a broad spectrum of relationship problems. He believes that meaningful change comes from deep within; it is not something that can be imposed by the therapist, nor are you expected to do it alone.
There are times in all of our lives where we find ourselves at a crossroads. Do I continue on the path I am on, or is it time to pause, dig in, and face my fear, addiction, compulsion, hesitancy, anger, patterns, issues, struggles, etc.? This can be a very frightening crossroads, and having the courage to face ourselves, our past and what may be before us can be very fleeting. I meet people at this crossroads, and together we "dig in", and begin to explore what needs exploring, mend what needs mending, fight what needs fighting and forgive what needs forgiving. As they say in AA, I believe we are spiritual beings in physical world and as a Pastoral Counselor I am able and willing to explore how these two realities are integrated in our lives. Please feel free to give me a call with any of your questions or concerns.
What brings you to therapy is pain in your life. Did you know that have strengths, already present within yourself - to cope with what life throws you? I can help you discover those strengths and learn to use them - so that you can start feeling in control of your life again.
One of my favorite quotes is: "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." To me, life is a journey. There will be many bumps, bruises, and obstacles along the way. That's okay. It's how you overcome those hurdles that count. Some need more assistance than others on this journey, and that's okay too. My approach is to promote healing and personal growth and development along this journey called life. I do not claim to have all of the answers. I believe that everyone is the expert of their own lives. My role is to assist you with getting out of your own way and discovering the path that you want to follow.
I appreciate the quote, "You don't have to be sick to get better." This reflects my approach as a solution-focused therapist. Change is possible, achievable, and can happen faster than you think. With over 15 years of specialized training and solution-focused expertise, I help clients overcome anxiety, depression, and OCD. I’m passionate about helping couples rekindle their relationship. In my 5th year of telehealth specialization, I've added ADHD evaluation and treatment as well as executive coachingcareer counseling that is nationally accessible. Life often presents us with difficulties and struggles. Sometimes having someone who is willing to listen without judging what you are going through can help you with sorting out your problems and difficulties. Telling your story enables you to come to terms with your current experiences. You may be dealing with difficult life events, feeling sad, anxious or depressed. Therapy can help you to learn coping skills and techniques to solve problems. I encourage you to reach out today to see how I can be of help to you. I have worked with clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, addictions and mood disorders. I enjoy helping those who struggle with a desire to change behaviors. I am passionate about working with those who are experiencing stress or anxiety and helping those dealing with problems with self-esteem or difficulties in their current or past relationships.
My approach is integrative, intersectional, developmental, and contextual with a basic belief in the value of connection and the power of possibility. My work pulls from principles of Intersectionality and Liberation Practices, Attachment and Relational Science, Differentiation as a Developmental process in relationships, Contextual and Systems Theories, and the essential journey of Trauma Integration across the lifespan. I understand that we are heavily shaped by our relationships, family experiences, and positionality in the social world with regard to race, culture, gender identity, sexuality, etc. My practice is relationship and sexual intimacy focused, and I've deepened my lens to include Level 1 & 2 training in the Gottman Method; Advanced training in the Developmental Model of Couples Therapy, in addition to past experience with PACT & Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I only work with couples or relationship structures at this time and I offer in person; telehealth; and a hybrid option. I also offer mini intensives (4 hour sessions), which compress the therapeutic work into a shorter period, offering a powerful and potentially transformative approach for clients seeking to revitalize their relationships, providing a focused and immersive environment for rapid change and deeper understanding. Because I see relationship clients from all across PA and DE, the mini intensive option works well for clients who really want an in person therapy experience, but can't make a weekly or even biweekly commute fit into their schedule.
