I have so much admiration and respect for anyone willing to seek out counseling and do the hard work of examining your life and relationships to identify areas of potential growth and change. I am honored to help provide you with a safe, affirming, judgment free space to assist with your personal journey and exploration. I believe that each individual is unique in their struggles and desires for therapy and possesses their own inner wisdom to help guide their process of growth. My priority is to help you identify the best path for working toward your goals and help you access your inner wisdom along with developing new tools and skills to help you move forward. Often someone comes to therapy with a general sense of dissatisfaction in their life without a clear idea of what is wrong; Sometimes they know exactly what is causing their distress or conflict. Both are completely okay, and I welcome you wherever you are. I have experience working with individuals of varying ages and backgrounds and am especially passionate about helping those who are experiencing faith transitions and processing religious trauma, postpartum depression and anxiety, struggles with body image and acceptance, and anxiety and perfectionism. I also enjoy supporting parents in implementing positive, connected parenting strategies and improving their relationships with their children. I use an integrated therapeutic approach and believe that the most important element of therapy is a connected, trusting relationship. Some therapeutic modalities that I draw from are CBT, mindfulness, experiential, feminist and psychodynamic.
Throughout the process of our human life, we cross thresholds into new life experiences that open opportunities of individual awareness. These personal awakenings create openings to moments of becoming greater than what we currently are. Together, we explore life experiences; creating meaning and purpose in moments of everyday living. Along with working with individuals I am also a level II PACT couples therapist trained in the psychobiological approach to couples therapy. Using the principles of neuroscience, attachment theory, and biology of human arousal I will support you while assisting you in learning powerful strategies to implement desired change in your relationship. I am also trained as a sex addiction and sexual recovery therapist. My initial training in master’s level clinical work began at Pacifica Graduate Institute. This individual focused training emphasizes psychological forces such as feelings and emotions that influence behaviors. In essence, asking how our pasts effects our present. My ongoing training consists of specializations in treating Complex- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
My training as a social worker included the experience of providing care as a Child Welfare provider for 21 years helping families and children work through issues of abuse and neglect to improve their relationships. Prior to that I worked providing couples and individual counseling. Earlier in my career, I also taught elementary school and worked in a group home. Through my work and life experience I have gained wisdom and desire to share my education and life experience in creating with you the life you desire to live. I believe in using therapy to empower individuals to find mental and emotional well-being and increased quality of life. I am a lifelong learner who loves to research the newest trends in mental and emotional well-being and utilize techniques to help strengthen families, couples, and individuals.
I’ve been drawn to this work as a small child because of its complexity. The human condition is no stranger to any of us, and yet each of us has a unique story interwoven in its tapestry. Like many mental health professionals, I’ve started this career path by gaining a better understanding of my own mental health challenges. Therapy has given me more understanding, acceptance, and perspective in my life and I hope to empower my clients to find the same. I graduated with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2022 and specialize in trauma and addiction treatment. I am EMDR trained and have experience working with clients in drug court programs and receiving other probation services. I hold high esteem for all of my clients and honor your unique life path. My approach to therapy is that of a guide rather than an expert and have learned so much from the clients that have allowed me to be a part of their stories. I believe in the power of acceptance that aids in growth and transformation and hope to explore how to understand life more fully in order to live more fully with you.
Sometimes “I’m fine” is the easiest way to keep going, even when you’re not. Maybe life has felt complicated for so long, it seems impossible to explain, or maybe you’re unsure if therapy could really help someone like you. If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. I offer a space where you don’t have to explain everything perfectly. A space grounded in trust, safety, and genuine understanding where we can explore what’s really going on, at your pace. My approach integrates cognitive and existential therapies, drawing from mindfulness, CBT, somatic practices, narrative therapy, and prolonged exposure. Therapy with me is collaborative and grounded, shaped by what’s meaningful to you, not just diagnoses or techniques. I come from a military family and have deep, long-standing relationships with veterans and first responders. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been “that person” others turn to when they need to talk. That instinct—showing up and listening with care is at the heart of my work. Over the years, I’ve supported people through depression, anxiety, anger, grief, substance use, and trauma. Whether it's the lingering wounds of a Gen X childhood or the cumulative toll of combat or front-line service, your story matters here. If you’re ready to feel less alone and more like yourself again, I’m here to walk with you.
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Idaho State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I believe that mental health challenges are personal and coming to counseling elicits vulnerability. I am eager to provide a nurturing environment which encourages honesty and authenticity. There is no judgement in our space together. Your voice is crucial to the healing process and our work together will be collaborative. I understand that it takes courage to start counseling and I acknowledge that step towards healing and growth. I specialize in working with teenagers who struggle with anxiety related disorders.
Soup is a lot like a family. Each ingredient enhances the others; each batch has its own characteristics, and it needs time to simmer to reach full flavor. ~ Marge Kennedy
Life can be beautiful. It can also be painful, confusing, overwhelming, and painful. I believe that counseling helps us to explore our thoughts and feelings with someone else - to understand ourselves better and grow in the process. This growth can promote self-compassion, self-acceptance, and self-love. Some of my experience centers on working with those who are experiencing depression, anxiety, loss, body-related issues, low self-image, and issues surrounding sex. I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Idaho State University and am a National Certified Counselor. Whatever you are experiencing or wherever you are in life - I offer empathy and a safe space to be yourself while we work together towards healing.

You are the expert of your experience and I am here to hold space for you. Please email me for further communication.
My approach to therapy embraces the idea that the client is the expert on their own life. The human experience is largely subjective; while we may share certain concepts, individual experiences differ. Each person is born into unique circumstances, and though broad generalities may provide common ground, there are too many factors shaping each individual to assume expertise over their lives. In my view, the client is the best source of information about their life, and the therapist is someone who offers tools to help them.
I have been trained in many therapeutic approaches. My style is interpersonal and analytical. I look at the whole person and believe that you know yourself better than anyone. I will work together with you to explore the issues you choose to discuss and to help you uncover the options you have to living the quality life you wish to lead.
