My success in treating clients stems from my approach which is straightforward and solution-focused to help clients move forward rather than staying stuck in their challenge areas.
My clients describe me as warm, accepting and non-judgmental. I believe that finding the right therapist for you is an important part of having a positive experience in therapy. I work collaboratively with my clients with the goal of helping them better understand themselves and lead a more balanced and fulfilled life. I help my clients to think about their problems and relationship in new ways by offering support and feedback about behavioral and relationship patterns. While I do not offer direct advice, I am active and participatory in each session with my clients.
I believe in the intrinsic worth of all human beings. I believe that many people do not see their value because it is overshadowed by the shame caused by their perceptions of who they should be and what they should be achieving. There are many reasons why these distortions exist; but one thing is for certain, it creates a feeling of being a fraud and deep shame. A lot of time and energy is used to counteract this secret shame. I feel that it is important to help teens and adults to become authentic and accepting of their strengths and weaknesses instead of putting our emotional and physical energy in denying and being afraid of our humanness. It is exhausting and paralyzing to be so afraid of our imperfections. I believe there is value in accepting our own humanity. We have to climb off our self imposed pedestal which is secretive and isolating and connect with other human beings without the fear of being discovered a fraud. It is so freeing and meaningful.
I strive to provide a safe and calm environment where my clients feel heard and supported as we navigate the complexities of life and work together to achieve their goals.
You are not alone. Life can seem pretty unmanageable without added difficulties such as anxiety, depression, and addiction. However, you are not alone. How do you deal with racing thoughts? Do you find yourself often ignoring thoughts only to be kept up by them when you're trying to go to bed? I have helped several clients seeking assistance for mental health or behavioral issues, but I consider myself to be first and foremost a person who wants to help you deal with life's challenges. Together we can work to help provide clarity and balance in your life. I understand how certain issues such as addiction plague your daily life and those you care about. I provide strategies and techniques in a safe, judgment-free atmosphere where together we discuss your challenges and how to overcome them. Some people are frightened to go to therapy because of financial costs, anxiety about what to expect with therapy, andor not used to discussing their feelings. Talking to the people in your support system is encouraged but sometimes external assistance is necessary and that's ok too. I am here to help and support you in dealing with problems that may be holding you back. Some individuals are not ready to discuss their issues and that is okay. Since therapy is a mutual relationship, we are working together to help you grow mentally and emotionally stronger. You are not alone.
I work very hard to create a warm and welcoming environment with clients to make sure that we're working together on goals and that there is space for the client to work on the things they identify as successful and challenging.

I am passionate about helping people better understand themselves, build healthier relationships, and find lasting relief from emotional pain. With advanced training in psychodynamic, attachment-based, and mindfulness approaches, I provide therapy that is both insightful and deeply supportive. I strongly believe that every person’s struggles are unique, and I strive to tailor my work to meet each of my clients where they are, offering a safe and compassionate space for growth. My style and approach to treatment is warm, authentic, and collaborative, helping my clients feel truly heard, while also gently encouraging them to explore deeper patterns that may be holding them back. I believe concrete and lasting change in our lives is achievable. Together, we will begin a journey focused on understanding yourselves, your relationships, and your history. We each have a unique story. Through therapy, that journey of discovery, processing, and integration can help uncover, heal, and reconnect.
I am dedicated to the practice and research of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples who are struggling and interested in improving their relationships. EFT is one of the few evidence based practices for improving relationships. I have specialized expertise in treating depression along with relationship problems.
