My approach in therapy is collaborative, supportive, and goal oriented.
I am a virtual mental health counselor providing compassionate psychotherapy services at Willow Health. I bring immense expertise to my practice. In addition to providing crisis psychotherapy, I help run our 8-week intensive outpatient therapy program. In my sessions, I provide a space to discuss concerns freely. I am committed to helping you enjoy a healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle.
Much of human suffering is about the way we experience things rather than the things themselves. Sometimes psychotherapy is about changing some events in our lives, but often it is about changing the experience rather than changing the things. Because all of the elements we need to achieve health and happiness are already within. and whether we change events or change the way we experience them, psychotherapy is always an act of courage.
Sometimes life can feel overwhelming and you are not sure where to turn. We all have times in our lives when we are struggling and need to know that help and support are there for us. Although it can be hard, reaching out and taking that first brave step will set you on your journey towards healing and happiness. I will help you to feel good about yourself and your life. Here you will find a place where you are always accepted.
My goal as a therapist is to make the therapeutic journey a a comforting and safe space. Something to know about my approach is that I am a systemic therapist, meaning, I view you as more than just an individual, but rather a product of the environment you grew up in. This helps me understand what made you who you are today, and what we can do to help you heal. Together, we will be able to overcome the challenges that have been making you feel stuck or alone. I know how hard it can be, and I value the progress that can happen in therapy. Everyone is different, which is why I tailor each session to the individual. My specialties include helping those struggling with anxiety, ADHD (utilizing CBT skills) and trauma (utilizing EMDR), and are looking to heal themselves while feeling more confident in who they are. I offer therapy online, and my associates at my group practice offer therapy in person. If you feel like a good fit, please don't hesitate to reach out!

“We speak not only to tell other people what we think, but to tell ourselves what we think. Speech is part of thought.” — Oliver Sacks. Oliver Sacks understood something that I have come to deeply respect—that connecting with others and talking out loud are meaningful practices that can change lives. At many points in our lives we simply need someone to listen. Be it a longstanding mental illness or a life change that creates mixed up thoughts and feelings, sometimes we simply need an educated ear. I have a unique background, having worked in addictions, inpatient and outpatient counseling, and school social work. I have a considerable amount of experience helping parents better connect with their children, working with schools to reach every student, and helping people understand how social environments can both hold them back and facilitate success. Throughout my career, moreover, I have maintained a sharp focus on the complexities and consequences of trauma. As a clinician practicing in these increasingly uncertain and stressful times, I am committed to partnering with you, and will work with you toward achieving the desired relief and growth that will help you pursue the life you want. I am trained in CBT, aspects of DBT, Parent Behavior Training, psychological first aid, social emotional learning, family systems, psychodynamic theory, feminist theory, and humanistic theory. I take a strengths-based and holistic approach to working with each client, preferring to tailor my treatment style to meet individual needs. With a casual sense of humor and creative nature, I aim to help you feel heard and understood, to empower you to make meaningful change.
