My approach in therapy is collaborative, supportive, and goal oriented.
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). My therapeutic approach comes from a place of empathy, support and collaboration. It also comes from a place of experience, having traveled down the road of therapy, I have experienced first hand the power of gaining insight coupled with removing shame and self-judgement. I believe we all have an inner wisdom and know ourselves best. I am here as a partner to help you tap into your strengths and live the life that you so desire.
I honor each individual's unique characteristics and strengths. In that spirit, I tailor my methods to the unique needs of the client - utilizing cognitive behavior therapy, psychodynamic, and humanistic modes. I am warm, encouraging and a strong motivator. My extensive background as a psychiatric social worker helps me to advocate for my clients and has provided me with special skills and life experiences that I bring to my psychotherapy practice.
Hello and welcome. My name is Vicky Fleurial, and I’m a licensed mental health counselor. I provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore what’s going on in your life, at your own pace. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, or just feeling stuck, my goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. Therapy is a collaborative journey, and I’m here to walk alongside you to support your goals. With over 15 years of experience in the mental health and social services field, I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families through times of crisis. My work spans across diverse populations, including individuals involved in the criminal justice system and those navigating complex parental custody cases. In our work together, you’ll have a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts and emotions, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. My goal is to help you feel empowered, understood, and supported throughout your journey. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to meet you where you are.
I am currently taking new patients who are experiencing problems with work, school and/or relationships that are due to obsessive and problematic usage of internet/computer/video games. Depression and anxiety are often associated with excessive use of these interactive technologies. Within the past seven years, I have seen a significant rise in my practice in people who have experienced major difficulties that have been rooted in spending too much time online, or excessively involved in one or more forms of interactive technology (i.e., computer/video games). For some, it has to do with excessive internet surfing. For others, it may involve multi-user online games (e.g., World of Warcraft, Call of Duty). A growing number of people have reported spending ("wasting") hours upon hours on blogs, watching Youtube vidoes, and on Facebook, Tumblr, and other social networking sites.

I welcome the opportunity to join in your journey towards a better life. The internal turmoil and external struggles you may be currently facing are very difficult to endure. Sadness, anxiety or relationship difficulties pose real barriers to your ability to appreciate yourself and experience joy. The negative thoughts and emotions are powerful forces that taint the view of yourself, others, and the world around you. They cause unnecessary pain and suffering, as they filter your perception of the past, the present, and the future, in a never-ending pattern of defeat. With my professional guidance and your courage, we can bring more happiness, confidence, and satisfaction in your personal connections. My therapeutic approach combines cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and insight-oriented interventions to help identify the negative beliefs that have prevented you from achieving your goals and experience happiness. Together we will build a caring and supportive environment to help you rise above your suffering and expand your capacity for work, love, and experience genuine connections. Through our encounters, you will learn new skills that will help you overcome the adversities that life presents. Please visit my website to explore my professional services to get started.
Safety and trust are the cornerstones of psychotherapy. Helping people to live richer, fuller and more satisfying lives can occur when you feel safe, never judged and accepted for both who and how you are. Together we will work on the issues that you wish to focus on, and you can live a fuller, richer life, in all dimension - personal, professional, relational.
Hi, I'm glad you're here! I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-worth, and relationship issues, as well as chronic illness, and shifts in religious beliefs or identity. My approach is warm, flexible, and grounded in unconditional positive regard: in this space, you are accepted for exactly who you are. Sessions are unstructured and shaped by what feels most important in the moment, whether it's a current struggle or something rooted in your past. We'll go at your pace and explore what's getting in the way so you can move forward with more clarity, connection, and a stronger sense of who you are. I draw from psychodynamic, somatic, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) modalities, and incorporate dream work or parts work when helpful. My approach is collaborative (you know yourself the best, after all!) and relational. That means that in our sessions we attend not only to your life experiences but also to what unfolds between us, because those moments can give us insight into the dynamics of your relationships outside of therapy. I firmly believe we are all doing the best we can with the tools we have; there is no specific path or timeline we must follow. I invite you to bring your whole, imperfect self to the session, as I strive to do the same.
I'm a licensed Substance Abuse Counselor and Social Worker, and I have been in the field for more than 10 years. I mostly work from a client-centered perspective, which means that my clients can expect empathy, compassion, and honesty throughout their whole therapeutic experience. By giving clients the tools to get through distressing or challenging times, I find that they often eventually find the motivation to live their healthiest lives. I tend to use cognitive behavioral therapy as my primary treatment modality, although I truly believe that the best treatment approach is an adaptable one, so I also apply elements of mindfulness, as well as psychodynamic, relational, and humanistic therapies to suit my clients' particular goals. I work mostly with adults to treat concerns like addiction, ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, obsessive-compulsive, peer relationships, relationship issues, school issues, self-esteem problems, sleep issues, stress, co-occurring issues, infidelity, gender issues, eating conditions, trauma, PTSD, and mood issues. I can help develop and manage coping skills, gain insight about emotional and relationship struggles, and build self-compassion and confidence to ensure a brighter future for an individual.
I believe therapy is a way toward a fuller, more satisfying life. Together we will journey past the obstacles to greater self-esteem, more satisfying relationships, work and play. I engage actively with you but am guided by your individual needs and wishes. I believe therapy can help you to find ways to expand the strengths you already have and add new skills, experiences and ways of seeing yourself. I work in an eclectic manner and am particularly interested in the unity of body and mind. How we think and feel are intimately connected and I am interested in bringing together the various dichotomies that confound us: thoughts and feelings, past and future, work and creativity, self and other.
