I bring evidence-based knowledge to my therapy coupled with personal experience. I believe you will feel comfortable and not judged at all when working with me.
I allow my clients a safe space to discuss their issues, concerns, and needs for themselves. I am a very avid listener and I feel that listening is very important when assisting my clients and helps identify their feelings and thoughts on things so that I can identify ways that I can be of assistance in helping to work through and/or address these issues and/or concerns.
Finding the right therapist can feel daunting. It might help you make your decision to know I felt I had to earn the right to accompany my clients on their psychological journeys. I earned that right not just through formal education, but also by embarking on the same psychological journey upon which I would ultimately accompany my clients. I offer therapy in a private, tranquil, picturesque office setting. Please give me a call to discuss how I can help you navigate the challenges you're facing.
My approach to therapy is largely cognitive/behavioral, with a strong emphasis on acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) techniques, specifically learning to be mindful- noticing and accept your thoughts, feelings and physical sensations- while committing to behavior that is consistent with your own values. My experiences both in and out of the work setting are fairly broad so I feel I can address most issues clients present with. My style is engaging and supportive. I view our relationship as a partnership. I will spend the majority of our first sessions together listening to get to know you better. I believe that everything in our lives is interrelated, so at times I may let our focus move to whatever is particularly troubling to you that day. At other times, I may focus you back on the current problem we are trying to solve. I am married with two children and have had two career changes. I have experienced a wide variety of life stressors and have sought help when needed. I believe that these experiences have provided me with empathy, perspective and coping skills that I can use to help you.
I believe therapy works best when it feels like a safe and genuine conversation. My role is to listen closely, help you feel understood, and work with you to uncover patterns that may be holding you back. I draw on both psychotherapy and psychiatry, so we can address the whole picture—your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and, when helpful, medication support. I value collaboration and tailor treatment to each person’s unique story and goals. My hope is that our work together not only eases current struggles but also helps you grow in ways that feel meaningful and lasting.
Welcome! Thanks for visiting my page. The idea of counseling can be scary, no matter what our age, and this is a huge step. Finding the right “fit” can be critical for your success in counseling. Let me tell you a bit about my practice to see if it helps in your search. Most people come to my practice to gain a sense of what patterns are keeping them stuck (even when past counseling has not worked). Together we face what has been avoided to achieve greater satisfaction and fulfillment in our lives. I use humor to normalize symptoms of stress and provide a warm, comfortable environment to let go and take new supported risks. My practice works with the philosophy that past experiences can impact our present triggers, current relationships, and even future decisions. I work with past traumas (big or small) and present "pesky" symptoms you want healed through EMDR and IFS therapy to bring deep healing and resolution. Therapy is customized to meet your individual needs and goals. Issues- anxiety, panic attacks, depression, PTSD, trauma, grief, relationship conflict, attachment wounding and struggles, and Life Transitions

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Delaware and Pennsylvania with over 15 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Originally from Connecticut, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Special Education from the University of Delaware and later obtained my Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University. My early work as a school social worker gave me a strong foundation in understanding family systems and child development. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I transitioned to virtual practice to continue providing accessible, compassionate care to clients. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of helping people navigate life’s challenges — including anxiety, depression, grief, divorce, parenting struggles, and major life transitions. My clients often describe me as warm, understanding, and easy to talk to. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership, where you feel seen, heard, and supported. My approach is client-centered and collaborative. I view you as the expert on your own life and see my role as helping you uncover your strengths, build resilience, and create meaningful change. As a parent of three daughters, I understand firsthand how complex, rewarding, and challenging family life can be. I have been working in the helping field related to counseling for almost 20 years. In that time I have learned that the best way to help others is to be an excellent listener, to be compassionate, empathetic, and to collaborate with individuals to assist them in gaining the tools that they need to make positive change in their lives. I work hard to encourage clients that the strength for change lies within them and my job is to help them find it. I utilize a great deal of mindfulness based techniques and believe that learning the process of becoming more mindful in life can be extremely beneficial to problem solving and learning to sit with discomfort. As a counselor I do not believe that I have all of the answers or can fix anyone, however, I do believe that if the client is willing to do the work to create change in their life that I can assist them in doing so successfully. Ultimately, my goal for the counseling relationship is to assist clients in managing stress more effectively and learning skills that can be used well after the counseling relationship has terminated, in a straightforward and honest approach.
