I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). My therapeutic approach comes from a place of empathy, support and collaboration. It also comes from a place of experience, having traveled down the road of therapy, I have experienced first hand the power of gaining insight coupled with removing shame and self-judgement. I believe we all have an inner wisdom and know ourselves best. I am here as a partner to help you tap into your strengths and live the life that you so desire.
Specializing in Relationships, Direction, and Family Clarity As a marriage and family therapist with over 18 years of experience, I’ve devoted my career to helping people make sense of their relationships, their choices, and their lives. Whether you’re a couple struggling in the aftermath of betrayal or a young adult feeling uncertain about the future, I offer a space that is supportive, direct, and focused on meaningful change. Helping Couples Heal After Infidelity One of my primary areas of specialization is affair recovery. The discovery of infidelity can be devastating—shaking the very foundation of a relationship and leaving both partners confused, overwhelmed, and unsure of what to do next. Many couples ask: Can we recover from this? Should we stay together? What happens now? Affair recovery is a complex and emotionally demanding process, but it can also be a deeply transformative one. I work closely with couples who are navigating this painful territory—helping them unpack what happened, understand the deeper emotional patterns that may have contributed to disconnection, and rebuild trust from the ground up. This process isn’t about “fixing” things quickly or sweeping pain under the rug. It’s about developing emotional honesty, accountability, and healthier relational habits—whether that means staying together or parting ways with clarity and integrity. I guide couples through a structured and compassionate process that gives space to both the partner who was betrayed and the partner who broke the trust, holding both people accountable while supporting repair. Guiding Young Adults Toward Confidence and Clarity The second area of my practice focuses on young adults who are struggling to find their path in life. These are often high-pressure years filled with internal and external questions: Who am I? What am I doing with my life? Why do I feel so stuck when everyone else seems to be moving forward? I love working with young adults—because these years, though uncertain, are also full of possibility. Whether you’re dealing with career indecision, academic stress, family conflict, or relationship uncertainty, therapy can help you stop spinning in circles and start moving forward with purpose. Together, we explore the beliefs, experiences, and expectations that may be shaping your current situation—and help you start making choices that are aligned with your values, goals, and identity. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need a space to think clearly, feel understood, and start building momentum in your life. An Integrated Family Therapy Perspective While these two specialties—affair recovery and young adult counseling—may seem unrelated, they both live under the umbrella of family therapy. Whether I’m working with an individual or a couple, I always consider the broader family and relational dynamics at play. Relationships shape us—and they can wound us, or help us grow. My training in marriage and family therapy allows me to explore both the emotional and systemic elements that contribute to what you're facing now. I believe in getting to the root of the issue—not just managing surface symptoms. In addition to my clinical work, I am dual certified in special education and educational advocacy, which gives me an added layer of insight when working with young adults who have learning differences, executive functioning challenges, or who may feel out of step in traditional systems. I often help families navigate these complexities while supporting the young adult’s autonomy and self-worth. How I Work Clients describe my style as warm, grounded, and honest. I am compassionate but not passive—I ask thoughtful questions, offer feedback, and help you stay focused on your goals. I use evidence-based approaches, including family systems theory, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and relational models, tailored to your unique story and needs. Therapy with me is a place where real change happens. It’s not just about insight—it’s about growth, healing, and moving forward with clarity and confidence. Let’s Connect If you’re in the middle of a relationship crisis, facing a difficult life transition, or simply trying to figure out your next step, I’m here to help. I offer a free 10-minute consultation to see if we’re the right fit. You don’t have to stay stuck in pain, confusion, or uncertainty. With the right support, you can find your way through and come out stronger on the other side.
I have been working in the helping field related to counseling for almost 20 years. In that time I have learned that the best way to help others is to be an excellent listener, to be compassionate, empathetic, and to collaborate with individuals to assist them in gaining the tools that they need to make positive change in their lives. I work hard to encourage clients that the strength for change lies within them and my job is to help them find it. I utilize a great deal of mindfulness based techniques and believe that learning the process of becoming more mindful in life can be extremely beneficial to problem solving and learning to sit with discomfort. As a counselor I do not believe that I have all of the answers or can fix anyone, however, I do believe that if the client is willing to do the work to create change in their life that I can assist them in doing so successfully. Ultimately, my goal for the counseling relationship is to assist clients in managing stress more effectively and learning skills that can be used well after the counseling relationship has terminated, in a straightforward and honest approach.

Beginning therapy is a brave step. Finding a therapist who is a good match for you is an important first step in creating the life changes that you want to see. I love working with young adults and middle age adults, new parents, and college students through the life transitions of early and mid adulthood. I specialize in relational and sexual health, which means that I work with individuals, couples, and polyamorous folks to navigate a variety of relational and sexual concerns, including relational strain due to stress, challenges with major relational transitions, general sexual dissatisfaction, desire discrepancy, sexual anxiety, vulvodyniavaginismus, pregnancy lossinfertility, and other problems. Mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, and the impact of trauma, can create additional challenges for relational health, sexual functioning, and overall wellbeing. In a non-judgmental way, I will help individuals and relationships to better cope with these concerns. In therapy, we will evaluate your life values and create goals, so that you can live life well, even in the presence of challenges. I will integrate psychodynamic (insight-oriented) and behavioral (skills-based) theories to offer you a comprehensive approach to health.
Deciding to pursue the journey of therapy takes courage and strength and I would be honored to be the therapist to help guide and support you through your exploration of your self, your life and of your relationships. I approach therapy from a collaborative and supportive place, challenging people when necessary and helping them to utilize their own internal strengths and external supports in the best way possible. Through therapy, we can work to explore yourself and your relationships and how imbalanced thoughts and unhealthy behaviors lead to negative cycles and unhealthy interactions with the world around you. Although I am a Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with individuals, in addition to families and couples (both married and unmarried), and help all of those that find their way to my office create a happier, healthier and more insightful future. I will work with you or with you and your significant other andor family members to create a safe environment that will foster growth and happiness.
Do you overthink everything or are you too caught up in the “what ifs” in your head that you ensure you stay stuck? Are you too focused on making other people happy that you feel like you have lost track of yourself? Maybe you are your own worst enemy-- with a well-honed inner critic that likes to shit talk you and remind you of all the things you are messing up or getting wrong. You are doing your best- caffeine, multitasking, or white knuckling it may be getting you through (kind of), but at the end of the day you are exhausted and overwhelmed. You want to feel connected, loved, and self-confident. You want to be able to sort through the current noise in your life and figure out what you want to let go of (such as beliefs or patterns you’ve held onto for some time) and what you want to keep and build on. I bring both humor and compassion to session.
Accepting new clients both in person and virtually. I specialize in working with clients who have trauma and all of the symptoms that come with it. My goal is to provide you with a supportive, nonjudgmental space where healing and growth can take root. For many years, I have struggled with chronic illness and pain. If you have found yourself feeling tired, alone, or wondering, "Does anyone understand what I am going through?", I can help. I understand what it means to feel all of those things, and my aim is to help you process those feelings and emotions. I believe that everyone deserves a fair chance to grow into the person they want to be. To guide you through this journey, I draw from evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and the Attachment, Regulation and Competency (ARC) model. My approach is strengths-based and individualized, empowering clients to build resilience, develop emotional regulation, and reconnect with their personal sense of identity and purpose. Through compassionate collaboration, I strive to equip my clients with practical tools, deeper self-awareness, and the confidence to move forward in their lives. Whether you’re starting your healing journey or continuing it, I’m here to walk alongside you and support your goals.

Beginning therapy is courageous. It can be a transformational environment, a bridge from suffering to the ultimate discovery of choices that allow people to dynamically engage with life. Anxiety, depression, fear, and troubling feelings are not indicative of sickness, but instead signals that call for empathy, curiosity, and self-care. I believe that people's strengths are essential in the therapeutic process; I endeavor to help people gain access to their honesty, humor, sensitivity, intelligence, courage, and resilience during the course of the healing process. I provide a direct, nurturing, and warm approach to therapy. I have experience working with people overcoming anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship difficulties, and life transitions such as entering into marriage and becoming a parent. I have a specific interest in the heightened opportunity for growth that derives from developmental transitions. I teach courses to clinical fellows on adolescent and child community-based therapy with urban youth. I have worked with adolescents and adults, in individual and couples therapy, and in an array of treatment environments. I treat people in open-ended and brief talk psychotherapy.
If you are trying to manage feelings associated with anxiety or depression due to a difficult life circumstance or a past trauma, I will provide you with the knowledge and emotional support you need to help you understand yourself and the issues that bring you to therapy. From a gentle and caring perspective, I integrate leading evidence-based practices within a mindfulness framework to offer you greater awareness and the possibility to make the changes that you are seeking. I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation so that we can discuss your situation and how my approach may be of help to you.
