I want to first thank you for looking at my page here. I am excited for you, that you are taking this step of research to find counseling for either you or another. Taking this step can be mind-boggling, looking for the right therapist. Working as a Mental Health Counselor for several years, I have come to believe that my purpose as a therapist, is to assist each individual in reaching their full potential in life, becoming who they were always meant to be. My personal approach to counseling is individualized for each person that I work with. This process entails building a therapeutic relationship which includes empathy, understanding, trust and encouragement. I believe that these traits are absolutely indispensable before any real work can be accomplished in therapy. From there, the process includes getting down to the core difficulties you are experiencing in life, identifying the causes and then addressing these issues by setting up goals and then objectives and interventions to reach these goals. This may sound complicated, but it isn't. It is not easy. it is really just changing mindsets and moving forward with new thoughts, beliefs, and ideals that help you to get past difficulties. In other words, it is identifying, challenging and changing habitual thinking that tends to hold you back in life. My theoretical approach is predominantly based on client-centered, solution-focused and cognitive behavioral therapy. I am also trained in Exposure Response Prevention, which is designed specifically to treat obsessive compulsive disorder. Although I tend to lean to these approaches, I do consider myself to be eclectic, meaning that I will draw from different therapeutic approaches as needed for each individual.
I have worked extensively with both individual clients, as well as couples. I specialize in helping clients with the following issues: affective disorders (e.g., depression), anxiety problems, and marital issues. I frequently work with helping clients to rapidly resolve trauma issues, including childhood abuse. I also work with with stress issues, health psychology, and sleep problems. I use cognitive-behavioral therapy, as well as brief therapy and Eye Movement Therapy to assist clients in achieving relatively rapid resolution of their problems and difficulties. I am a Christian, and my faith is very important to me. However, I NEVER proselytize or push the "faith issue" on my clients indiscriminately. In fact, I have been told by many clients that I am very "nonjudgmental" and "supportive" in my approach to working with them.

My focus is on adult patients with trauma, anxiety, depression, addictions, personality disorders andor emotional dysregulation. It is my mission to provide quality care with the respect and empathy everyone deserves! You are in control of the process and which areas you feel comfortable focusing. My specialty is narcissistic abuse and the emotional abuse cycle.
I work with adults who appear to be holding it all together, yet feel disconnected or exhausted beneath the surface. You may be questioning your direction, your relationships, or even your sense of self. Together, we’ll create a space where you don’t have to perform or pretend—just be real, and begin to heal. My experience includes helping individuals facing interpersonal conflicts, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I have also worked with military service members, veterans, and their families. I am a licensed mental health counselor with eight years of experience and a certified clinical trauma professional, focusing on childhood and generational trauma. I am a strong advocate for mental health awareness and emphasize the importance of self-care management. Having personally struggled with anxiety since childhood, I have learned to become resilient and continue to grow through my challenges. Using a compassionate, collaborative approach grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), I help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact—and how small shifts can lead to meaningful change. We'll explore patterns that keep you stuck, and build practical tools for coping, connection, and clarity. Therapy with me is warm, nonjudgmental, and grounded in respect. I believe that change is possible, and it starts with being truly seen and heard. If you're ready to feel more like yourself again, I’d be honored to walk that path with you. I typically begin with cognitive behavioral therapy to help you identify and challenge negative thought patterns that may disrupt your daily life. Throughout our sessions, I will provide psychoeducation and introduce personalized techniques, such as cognitive restructuring and mindfulness practices. We will approach these challenges at a comfortable pace, focusing on improving your mental health.
I believe that therapy works best in a collaborative setting where you and I can safely explore what's no longer adaptive in your life. Seeking answers is a daunting task and often the hardest questions are the ones with no concrete answers. It is my goal as a clinician to guide your self exploration, identify areas that are preventing you from living fully, and test out alternatives to move forward in an empowered manner. It is my belief that anyone can benefit from therapy at any life stage regardless of circumstance -- since you're looking, why not now?
A lot of us fall into our lives, or we wake up one day and wonder, "How did I get here?" Well, I am here to help you live with intention, which includes making conscious choices to propel your life, go after your dream, or even get out of your own head. A lot of times, we may have some obstacles such as past trauma, negative thought patterns, or unhealthy relationships. That is where I come in, as a therapist; it is my job to help you move past those obstacles and reach your goals, or even help you identify new ones. With a wide variety of professional experience, I'm here to help you with an integrated approach using a combination of modalities and approaches that serve you best. I have training with addiction, marital problems, self-esteem, trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and so much more.
Do you feel like you've tried everything, but still keep fighting with your partner about the same issues? Are you worried that if things don't get better, your relationship may end? There's nothing more frustrating, draining, and emotionally exhausting than experiencing relationship struggles. You don't have to keep living like this. You can have a happy, healthy relationship, filled with friendship, romance, and passion. Contact me--I'd love to hear your story and help you get things back on track. Every relationship has ups and downs, going through good phases and ones that aren't so terrific. Sometimes, you need help to get back on track. I'd love to help you get out of the cycles that are causing the stress and tension and more into ones that make you both feel better about yourself and each other. Through therapy, you can make thoughtful decisions about rebuilding your relationship or going your separate ways. I work with many businessmen and women (doctors, CEOs, CFOs, accountants, therapists, business owners, and others), who are successful in many areas in life, but struggle in their personal life and relationships. If that's you, I'm here to help you feel better about yourself, find ways to handle relationship issues, make decisions about your relationships, and better connect with people in your life.
