I offer therapy that helps you move forward. Whether you’re transitioning to a new phase of life, wanting to regain a sense of joy in relationships, or looking for more resilience in the face of everyday challenges, we work together to understand what’s lying beneath the stress and anxiety you’re carrying—and then work to resolve it. My evidence-based approach moves beyond surface-level coping mechanisms to create change that lasts, helping you find steadiness through the inevitable transitions, so you can step into a more grounded, confident, and connected life. Hi, I’m Jill Lees, LCSW. I help women who feel weighed down by anxiety, depression, grief, or life transitions find a safe and supportive space to heal and rediscover balance. My approach is both compassionate and collaborative—I believe therapy works best when we honor your story, your strengths, and your goals. In our work together, I’ll bring a mix of evidence-based practices and holistic tools to meet your unique needs. This may include EMDR to process painful experiences, Internal Family Systems (IFS) to connect with and heal different parts of yourself, and mindfulness to build resilience in the present moment. I also offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and incorporate energy psychology when appropriate. I view therapy as a journey of empowerment. I’ll walk alongside you, helping you uncover patterns that no longer serve you, explore new ways of relating to yourself and others, and reconnect with your sense of meaning and strength. My goal is not only to help you feel relief but to support you in creating lasting change and a deeper connection with yourself. I offer in-person sessions in Arvada, Colorado, and online therapy across Texas, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and Oregon.
Life has a way of forcing us to confront things which we believed we already overcame. Sometimes we look at ourselves and think, "how did I get here?". We can become so complacent and comfortable with discomfort that it becomes our new normal, forming our views and behaviors without our knowledge it's even happening. Sometimes we all just need an accepting and neutral person to process life with in order to regain control and understanding. We will work together to build respect and trust. I believe that counseling is not giving a hand to a person sitting in the mud, it's sitting in the mud with them and getting out together. My greatest strength as a counselor is my genuine acceptance of every client in a truly non-judgemental manner. I have successfully worked with many clients with a plethora of presenting concerns. I build trusting, open, and honest relationships with clients first, in order to facilitate growth and change. I know how difficult it can be to share a struggle with someone, I have been there myself, but know that each step taken is progress in the right direction. Give yourself credit for getting this far! I would love to chat to see if we are a good fit or if there's anything I could do to help find your best fit with your journey in counseling.
Are you ready to transform shadows into strengths and claim your hidden gifts? I'm Casey, a somatic therapist in Boulder specializing in relational trauma and power reclamation. The healing journey is a dance to discover the authentic voice within. I offer somatic trauma-informed, client-centered therapy for adults, couples, and older teens (15+), grounded in social justice and an inclusive, multicultural approach. As a USABP somatic psychotherapist, now offering EMDR, I bring a deep understanding of how trauma resides in the body and how our parts interact with each other and the world. I guide healing through Somatic, Jungian and Transpersonal lenses blending in parts work theories such as IFS and Gestalt. My approach embraces dreams, tarot, astrology, art, poetry, and symbols to enrich your healing process, creating a supportive space for profound growth. Holistic transformation includes recognizing the soul's potential for healing.
I believe that no two people experience the world in exactly the same way, and that many of those differences are often labeled as a negative simply because they do not fit into whatever current definition of “normal” dominates mainstream culture. I want to empower those individuals to embrace their experience of the world as valid and identify new ways to successfully navigate the world on their terms. I consider myself an eclectic and humanist therapist -- I draw on whatever is best going to serve the person I'm working with all while assuming the best in them. I rely on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Theory quite a bit, as I believe our thoughts and the stories we tell ourselves are powerful ---- the ability to change them even a little to give ourselves the upper hand has the potential to be life changing. I also lean into Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as I like how it allows for us to account for the less than desirable circumstances we sometimes find ourselves in without placing blame. Plus, it allows me to incorporate Mindfulness skills and other behavioral skills that some folks find extremely helpful.
My relationship with my clients is central to all my work with them - meaning that I work to establish a safe and collaborative one. My approach to helping couples and individuals involves coming along-side and helping clients become more aware of their deeper emotions by helping to take them experientially into those emotions. This expanded awareness creates a deeper sense of wholeness as clients become more and more aware of their deeper selves. It then opens the door to understanding the ways they have coped over the years and more importantly discovering new ways of dealing with what is at the core of it all - our longing to be in secure loving relationships - in a way that feels in harmony with who they are at the core of their being. My approach assumes that we are not broken and in need of repair but rather have developed very understandable ways of coping with our world and the 'hand we have been dealt'. Helping couples achieve a safe relationship and deeper intimacy is a major focus of my work. I use the best validated and most effective couples therapy in the world. It is called Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT has become the dominant method of couples therapy having been relentlessly researched and proven in more research that any other form of therapy in existence. The research has shown not only extremely high satisfaction rates among couples but also a very low rate of relapsing back into old patterns.
I am a relationship therapist who works with couples, families, and individuals to heal traumas and repair attachment wounds. Our goal in therapy will be to improve your relationship with yourself and those you love. I show up for my clients as my authentic self using direct and empathetic communication. If you like someone who will be honest with and challenge you, then we will be a good fit. I am excited to work with people brave enough to seek change and willing to learn a new way to be in relationship with themselves and others. You don’t need to have it all together or have the right words; just be willing to show up. I offer my clients a safe and inclusive space to talk openly about life's challenges, both past and present. I utilize skills I have acquired in attachment, EFT, Gottman, and EMDR, among others, to inform my approach to treatment. I bring an abundance of life experience that allows me to provide clients with an empathetic and accepting therapeutic experience. I have personal experience in overcoming challenges with the help of therapy. I approach my clients free of judgment and full of understanding. Your work with me will offer you a valuable opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and the relationships that play an integral role in your life. You are not in this alone; let's do the work together.

Psychodynamic therapy explores unconscious patterns and past experiences that may influence current relationships and life choices, while Interpersonal therapy focuses on improving communication and relationship skills within Golden's close-knit community environment.
