We all enter the world through the same biological process. But that's where the similarity ends. Through our own family dysfunction, we become emotionally scarred and begin to believe things about ourselves that are not true. Things like: no one loves me and no one ever will, I will never achieve my goals, I am a mistake, I am alone and always will be, I will never find happiness, etc. Then we live our lives in the dark shadow of those deep-seated beliefs. Through therapy, you will learn to recognize those ugly lies that you've been told and taught. You will learn to challenge and dismiss them. Then you will begin to believe the truth, that you are no better or worse than others. That who you become and what you achieve is truly a matter of choice. Then you will learn and practice how to make healthy choices based on your new healthy beliefs that you are capable, lovable, and will begin achieving happiness today. Emotional growth is a life-long journey. My passion is helping hurting people begin the road-trip toward their highest possible level of emotional health. I lived with emotional pain many years before seeking therapy and was certain I was alone, that no one understood my personal struggle, and no one cared. That was my emotional state when I entered therapy as a last cry for help. Through my own therapy, I began the healing process and soon found hope. The world became a brighter place, my family began to heal, my personal and professional goals seemed to take on a life of their own and positive things began to be the norm, not the exception for me. I became a therapist so I could teach others to experience the wonderful world that is waiting just beyond the dark horizon of hopelessness, sadness, and gloom. Join me on the road to emotional health and happiness. I will initially hold your hand and guide you. But you will be taught and encouraged to let go of my hand and run free, run ahead of me, and never again allow others to negatively influence your destiny.
I support teens and young adults in building coping skills and navigating anxiety, identity, stress, and life transitions. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or simply ready to explore more about yourself, I am here to help you navigate these challenges. I am an associate marriage and family therapist employed by Chambliss and Associates, MFT Inc., and I am passionate about supporting adolescents, teens, and young adults as they navigate anxiety, identity, self-esteem, school, relationships, and life transitions. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as an elementary educator and school counselor, which gives me a deep understanding of the social, academic, and emotional experiences young people face. I offer individual therapy for adolescents, teens, and young adults who are dealing with anxiety, self-esteem difficulties, academic or life pressures, and relationship challenges. I earned my master’s in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University. My style is warm and collaborative to help you understand your experiences, build coping strategies, and reconnect with your strengths, values, and sense of self. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and psychodynamic and strengths-based perspectives to support you. I offer virtual sessions throughout California, and provide a free initial consultation so you can get a feel for working together. Whether you are a parent seeking support for your child, or a person reaching out for yourself, I am here to help guide the process with care and collaboration. I am supervised by Cathy Chambliss, LMFT 39875.

Plot twist: that voice in your head saying you're 'not doing enough' isn't motivation- it's trauma dressed up as productivity culture. What would change if you could feel worthy without the performance? I'm deeply passionate about this work because I've been there. As a survivor and queer woman, I know firsthand what it's like to confront anxiety, navigate trauma's aftermath, and discover your authentic identity. I understand the courage it takes to move from victim to survivor and the profound growth that occurs when we face our pain with compassion. Difficult experiences are incredibly human, yet we're rarely given the support and tools we need to heal. That's where I come in. My journey began as a Crisis Interventionist at a rape crisis center in DTLA, inspiring me to pursue my master's and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology. During my clinical training, I gained experience providing therapy at a shelter for BIPOC domestic violence survivors, at the world-renowned LA LGBT Center, and in a private practice focused on the neuroscience of trauma. Now an IFS-Certified Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of clinical experience, I specialize in healing trauma and anxiety, women's empowerment, and LGBTQIA+ struggles. I view therapy as a sacred, collaborative process honoring the mind, body, and spirit. I firmly believe effective therapy does more than alleviate symptoms; it transforms wounds into sources of strength. With a strong background in neuroscience, I go beyond traditional talk therapy to work directly with your nervous system where trauma and anxiety are stored. I believe you deserve the support it takes to achieve a life full of joy as your best self, and I'm here to offer it. When I'm not in session, you'll find me exploring the outdoors with my dog, brunching with my friends, or engaging with my feminist and LGBTQIA+ communities through activism. I'm energized by powerful and inspiring women, seeing my plants grow, music, and the simple joys of life.
Feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or just plain stuck? You're not alone. You deserve a life filled with stability, purpose, and meaningful connections. Together, we can work to unravel the complexities of your thoughts and emotions, and discover the strength and resilience within you while adding skills and identifying solutions. I offer individual and couples therapy to help you navigate the challenges of ADHD, anxiety, relationship issues, and more. Whether you're struggling with overwhelm, focus, motivation, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself and deeper connections with others, I'm here to guide you. I also provide comprehensive psychological assessments to help you gain insights into your strengths and challenges. These assessments can be helpful for a variety of reasons, including: ADHD testing Learning disorder assessments Neuropsychological assessments Mood or personality disorders Career coaching Pre-adoption evaluations My approach is warm, empathetic, and grounded in evidence-based practices. Through a collaborative process, we'll explore your unique experiences and work together to develop practical strategies for overcoming obstacles and achieving your goals. You'll learn valuable tools to manage stress, enhance your relationships, and cultivate a sense of well-being. Imagine a future where you feel empowered, confident, and in control of your life. Let's make that future a reality.

Along the journey, I offer practical, proactive ways to improve their current situation and find their joy in life again!
"Why can't I get it together"? "It feels like all that I have gone through in my life has made me fearful, frightened, stuck! I need help." "Am I just stuck being this way because of my trauma?" "Will I ever heal?" "My relationships, me, my job all seem to be in a standstill and I can't get out of this rut". It doesn't have to be this way. Yes, trauma does leave a mark on you, your mind, your heart and your relationships. However, the mark does not have to be permanent. Even if you have not suffered major trauma-early experiences of not being loved, neglected, bullied, ostracized have created negative patterns needing to be broken. Your loved ones see it, you also know it- it is time to release what the past has patterned in you. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I provide psychotherapy primarily to individuals and couples. I have in-depth training in relational therapy, as well as trauma and post-traumatic symptoms. I have worked extensively in GLBTQ communities, and with non-traditional couples and families. I work with a wide range of clients. I treat adolescents and adults in individual, couples, or group sessions. My expertise is in working with people who have a history of traumatic or transitional experiences. I have also helped people struggling with identity-related issues, including those of gender, sexual orientation, class, and ethnicity. I tend to work from a depth-oriented model of treatment, meaning I work with the client to address underlying issues causing symptoms with the goal of creating long-term change and relief.
I love working with people who have complex, complicated pasts. We are indeed shaped by all that has happened to us. However, when we assess what happened and truly understand it (with a new, more informed perspective), we can choose how we want to move forward. I love supporting people with a big vision for the future. So often, life changing events can propel us toward helping others and making the most out of our own lives. As long as we can cope with the uncertainty and self-doubt that too often accompanies these big ideas, we have great opportunity to make an impact in the world. I love supporting my clients in honing their mindset, so they can approach work and life more effectively. When you don't address your blind spots, you can find yourself burned out, unable to leave your clients' concerns at the office, and having difficulty caring for pretty much anything. I find these conditions - compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and what I call Sacrificial Helping Syndrome (giving more than you have to the people you serve) - in a lot of professionals who help others.
Life is a rollercoaster of emotions, events, and unexpected twists. My goal as a therapist is to create a judgment-free, safe space where you can fully express yourself and embark on the journey toward your true self. I work collaboratively with you to cultivate a non-judgmental, empathetic environment where you feel seen, heard, and supported. Using a strengths-based approach, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy. I aim to equip you with the tools and coping skills necessary to thrive through psychoeducation and ongoing support. I work with teens, adults, and couples navigating life’s challenges. My clinical experience includes addressing depression, grief and loss (including death, the end of relationships, and major life transitions), and trauma. I am proudly a part of the first responder family and know the struggles that come with the job. Additionally, I support couples in enhancing communication, resolving conflicts, managing life transitions, and navigating through cultural differences. Let’s work together to help you find balance, clarity, and resilience as you face life’s challenges.
I want to help you understand, heal, move on, take back your power and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While the past can not be changed, you do have control over your choices now. I don't believe in telling you what to do; I help you think through and evaluate what is best for you. Let's work together to better understand behavior patterns or perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more peaceful, fulfilling and meaningful life. If you're looking for support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
