If you'd like to understand what's getting in the way and create a path forward that truly reflects who you are, you're in the right place. Together, we'll uncover new ways to respond to life's challenges, including setting healthier boundaries, identifying and expressing your emotions, and building more self-compassion along the way. You don’t have to go through this alone. Imagine a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, feelings, fears, strengths, and struggles. Together, we can explore your past and current challenges and experiences, uncovering what’s working and what isn’t. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities to best meet the unique needs of each client. My approach integrates cognitive-behavioral techniques, solution-focused strategies, mindfulness practices, attachment-based insights, and psychodynamic exploration. This allows me to tailor therapy to the individual, whether we’re focusing on developing practical tools for immediate challenges or delving into deeper patterns rooted in past experiences. I believe in creating a collaborative and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to explore, grow, and achieve their goals. My work is grounded in compassion and the understanding that healing is not one-size-fits-all—it’s a personalized journey that honors each client’s strengths and values.
The story of our growth is often a story of change — in the layered identities we inhabit, the relationships that anchor us, and the responsibilities we are called to step into. Moving through life changes like becoming a parent, shifting careers, separating from a partner, or losing a loved one can make us feel unmoored and overwhelmed, stranded someplace between who we once were and who we are becoming. I work with my clients to explore the unique complexities, challenges, and opportunities for empowerment that lay inside these vulnerable, vital periods of transition. From a place of humor and empathy, I offer a warm, non-judgmental space to explore and evolve your own thought processes, relationship patterns, and habitual responses. Working as collaborators and fellow travelers, we will source creative new approaches that better support your agency, resilience, and wellbeing through life’s inevitable changes. I love working with new parents, ambitious professionals, blocked creatives, and those struggling with relational trauma loss grief. I also thrive in working with men seeking a greater understanding of themselves and their relationship patterns, and who are looking to deepen a connection to their emotional world. My work is grounded in relational psychotherapy with an asset-based approach. We will center your strengths, emphasizing and reinforcing what may already be working. If any of this speaks to you, I'd be honored to connect.
I provide an environment that through support and understanding will motivate significant and positive change in your life. Through honest feedback and discussion, you will acquire the tools necessary to achieve a more positive and fulfilling way of relating to the world around you. There are times in all of our lives when we experience challenges and transitions. While these challenges can be stressful and overwhelming, I believe they also present an opportunity for personal growth and change.
Difficult feelings can be a gateway for personal growth. I work with many individuals struggling with depression and anxiety, trauma, problems in relationships, stress management, and life transitions. My approach is to help you explore those difficult thoughts, feelings, and past experiences which prevent you from being comfortable with who you would like to be, what you want in your life, and the kinds of relationships that you want to have with others. I offer a collaborative, in-depth approach to psychotherapy that promotes meaningful change in character, felt experience, and behavior. By learning how to observe and engage with parts of ourselves, we can grow towards greater wholeness and satisfaction with our lives. Developing a relationship with our suffering and uncertainties can actually be in service of realizing our goals. Therapy can be focused and together, we will identify potential areas of growth for you as well as ways to measure your progress. My style is a blend of compassionate, kind, direct and engaging.
The concept of self-love is a mystery because you often default to a painful pattern of beating yourself up. Being productive is important to you but instead you feel overwhelmed and burnt out. You want to be in a connected flow with your partner but rather you are constantly at odds leaving you feeling lonely and isolated. Cultivating deeper relationships is a value to you but you feel disconnected, anxious and stressed. These and other of life’s great emotional impasses are what often lead people to therapy. I believe the most valuable impact therapy can have on you is a deeper understanding of yourself and who you want to show up as in the world. Through consistent, gentle, and thoughtful investigation of oneself, there can be considerable growth. The deeper we are able to go together, the more attuned you will become with yourself and others. I provide my clients with directive, empowering therapy aimed at challenging you to look at yourself in a more introspective and curious way. My clients walk away from therapy feeling inspired and motivated to make meaningful change in their life. My main areas of focus include: entrepreneurs, entertainment industry professionals, gay men & couples.
The hardest part of therapy is getting to the first session, but once you take that step you will be happy you did. I specialize in empowering those who have tried to change but seem to be treading water or going backwards and don't understand why. You will experience a safe, compassionate, understanding environment to help you understand and accept yourself and to move in the direction you choose. I have a sliding scale and accept credit cards and PPO insurance plans.
Accepting New Clients! Specializes in Anxiety in successful professionals. Have you gone to therapists that agree with everything you say? Do they just nod and smile? Are they a really good listener but never give feedback? Have you realized nothing worked and are still struggling with the same issues? Want something different? This is where I come in. I’m direct, straight forward and real. I won't dance around topics because you're already doing that with yourself and don't need that from your therapist. Let's work through what is going on and start changing now! My clients enjoy working with me because we’ll get to what’s really going on and change it! I'm an anxiety specialist working with individuals and couples navigating the chaos, worry, isolation and fear in life. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a road map to figuring life out? A map to navigate LA, the perfect career, the perfect relationship, and feel happy. Achieving these goals alone isn’t easy. You fall, but can someone help you to learn how to get back up? This feels isolating, lonely, anxiety provoking, challenging, and frustrating. You aren’t alone! I believe the majority of our work is within the relationship you and I build together. Millennial Growing up a millennial means many things to many different people. However, society as a whole has defined our generation in a few distinct ways. I’m sure you’ve heard them all before. Entitled, impulsive, image obsessed, financially illiterate and so on. It could easily be argued that millennials, unlike any generation that has come before, face scrutiny at unprecedented levels. Feelings of being misunderstood, unrecognized, and unappreciated permeate the psyche of us all. With societal pressures and expectations mounting, handling all of the anxiety has become overwhelming for you. I’ve lived this life, I’ve worked through these things, and together we will figure out how you can conquer them too. Your feelings of self-worth and purpose are all too often derived and defined by others. “Why can’t you be like your parents, settled down, be financially stable?”. Has anyone stopped to ask you what your definition of success is? What does happiness and prosperity mean to you? Silencing the noise and defining personal triumph is key to overcoming societal pressures and managing the anxiety you feel from within. Even though things aren’t easy or perfect or ideal, we’ll create the space for you to be able to take solace in achieving the small victories. Stop asking what success looks like to them and focus on what it looks like to you. Imposter Syndrome Ever find yourself working increasingly hard, achieving what most would define as marketable success, yet feeling like a complete fraud? Chalk up that promotion to good luck, great timing, or a lack of other qualified candidates? While many don’t talk about it openly, I promise you aren’t alone. That sinking, constant feeling of inadequacy, and the pure disregard for the professional achievements, accolades, and honors you’ve legitimately earned can be rightfully defined as “Imposter Syndrome.” No matter how much success comes your way, there’s always that sense of falsehood. A sense of not belonging or not deserving despite the positive reinforcement you may receive from superiors and peers. The pressure continues to mount. “Am I working hard enough? Long enough? What could I possibly be missing?”. As a therapist in Beverly Hills, CA, I know what it’s like to work extremely hard, to hustle and to combat constant societal pressures, to reach success, but still feel like you’re not quite there. Often trying to convince yourself that this is what success looks like and to get on board! You grew up in an environment where you and everyone on your team got orange slices and trophies just for showing up. And somewhere deep inside you knew that you didn’t deserve that trophy. So no wonder now, 10 or 15 years later, there are times where you still doubt the accolades, promotions, and achievements that you get today. Therapy to overcome imposter syndrome is about understanding what you deserve and the fact that you do deserve.
My ideal client is someone who’s ready to delve deeper. This person may be struggling to get out of bed or may be overwhelmed by their thoughts. Perhaps these habits impact their motivation or energy levels. This person may notice that their self-doubt interferes with their goals and overall meaning in life. My specialties include, but are not limited to, depression, anxiety, and working with clients from Asian-American and Latino-American backgrounds. My goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental space so that you can learn to cope with difficult feelings, identify ways to trust yourself and to trust others, and develop a sense of confidence in yourself to manage difficult situations. One of my favorite parts about working with clients is seeing their own resilience, their ability to witness their own capabilities. It's meaningful to work alongside my clients and to provide them with the skills to work through whatever challenges come their way. If you feel as though my approach fits with you, I'd love to chat over the phone.
