My Approach to Therapy

You’ve probably spent years keeping it all together: showing up for everyone else while quietly feeling exhausted, disconnected, or unsure who you are beneath the survival mode. Maybe you grew up in a home where emotions weren’t safe, or you’ve learned to mask your needs to stay accepted. On the outside, you might seem fine. Inside, it’s hard to rest, trust, or feel enough. I help adults and children heal from complex trauma, emotional neglect, and neurodivergence-related challenges like attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD) and autism. In our work together, you don’t have to over-explain, hide, or be “too much.” You’ll find a grounded, compassionate space to explore what’s underneath the anxiety, perfectionism, or emotional numbness. My approach is trauma-informed, attachment-based, and experiential. I draw from modalities like internal family systems (IFS), mindfulness, and play-based or creative therapies to help you reconnect with the parts of you that learned to survive, and teach your nervous system that it’s safe to live differently. For clients seeking clarity, I also offer attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD) and autism assessments to better understand how your brain and body work. Healing doesn’t have to mean doing more. It means learning how to be with yourself in a new way. If you’re ready to feel grounded, connected, and genuinely seen, I’d love to help you get there.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Complex PTSD (CPTSD) and the long-term impact of childhood trauma Emotional neglect and difficulty identifying or expressing feelings Attachment wounds and relationship struggles rooted in early experiences ADHD and autism (assessment, identity exploration, and self-understanding) Rejection sensitivity, masking, and chronic self-blame Anxiety, perfectionism, and overfunctioning Identity loss, burnout, and disconnection from self Parenting challenges in neurodivergent or blended families Low self-esteem and inner critic patterns Sensory processing differences and emotional regulation difficulties

My Role as a Therapist

My role is to help you feel safe enough to explore what's been too heavy to carry alone. I don't see myself as the expert on your life. I see us as collaborators. You bring your lived experience; I bring tools to help you understand your patterns, calm your nervous system, and reconnect with parts of yourself that have been shut down by trauma or survival mode. I see therapy as a place where curiosity replaces judgment and where we move at a pace that feels right for you. Whether we're untangling the effects of emotional neglect, working through CPTSD, or understanding how ADHD or autism shape your world, my goal is to help you build self-trust, compassion, and a felt sense of safety. Ultimately, therapy with me isn't about "fixing" you. It's about helping you come home to yourself.
