My Approach to Therapy

Do you feel like you’ve lost yourself? Perhaps you’re carrying the weight of past trauma, navigating the overwhelming transitions of motherhood, finding your body is not cooperating to have a baby, or struggling to break free from the grip of substance use. It can feel lonely, frustrating, and at times, impossible to find your way back to a sense of peace and self-acceptance. I want you to know this: you don’t have to face these challenges alone. We’ll work together to heal emotional wounds, rebuild your confidence, and help you find clarity and balance to show up more fully and with a sense of vitality in your life. I specialize in supporting women who are navigating complex issues of trauma or substance use and also supporting birthing people with perinatal mental health and infertility. Whether you’re feeling stuck in patterns of self-doubt, overwhelmed by the demands of motherhood, or want freedom from addiction, my gentle approach is suited to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered with eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Reaching out for support is an act of courage, & I’m here to meet you with warmth, and understanding, devoid of judgment and tools that work. Whether you’re ready to take the next step or just exploring your options, I invite you to connect. Together, we can create a path toward the life you want and deserve. What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love connecting with you, as a client, and showing you that you are not alone in what you are experiencing. I emphasize the relational aspect of therapy by prioritizing building rapport first in order to build a sense of trust and safety before beginning deeper processing. After being a therapist for 5+ years I have come to understand deeply that we are all human and we all make mistakes and deal with the same emotions of guilt, shame, loneliness, happiness, and at times feeling lost. I am passionate about sitting with you in those moments of pain and helping you navigate them.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

As an individual who has experienced childhood trauma and infertility issues myself, while watching family members struggle with substance use, I know first-hand what these experiences are like and how they can change a person. Because of my personal experience and the healing I have done around it, I feel a kinship to those who have experienced the same and want to help others through it, also.
