My Approach to Therapy

I am an experienced American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) sex therapy supervisor offering consultations and sessions for individuals and couples. I specialize in all aspects of sexual issues, including sex addiction. I also specialize in trauma and relationship problems. The modalities used include internal family systems (IFS), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), hypnosis, various sand tray therapies, and Kalffian sandplay. I have an inclusive, nonjudgmental approach in dealing with all mental and sexual health care issues, however difficult or shameful they are for you. In addition, I offer consultation to other clinicians in healing their clients. Are you or a loved one struggling with any form of addiction, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), anxiety, depression, or finding yourself shutting down and don't know why? I can help you with these emotions and the behaviors you don't like but are doing. In addition, I will help you understand how your body reacts instantly and below conscious awareness, resulting in the emotions and behaviors you are experiencing. I have over twenty years of experience, trained in many therapeutic modalities, including various sand therapies. Sand can be helpful when talking about an issue that becomes overwhelming. Ultimately, you will decide which modality you like most, which will allow you to choose the one you may prefer on any given day or session, allowing maximum therapeutic healing.
