Laura approaches treatment from a strengths perspective. Laura believes that pain is progress and wants to help her clients move through the pain, whether it be from grief and loss, current stress, or past hurts. Laura addresses each session with unconditional positive regard and nurtures a space where every client feels safe and supported. Laura enjoys offering psychoeducation and helping clients learn about themselves, affirming personal values and setting boundaries using evidence-based strategies, and setting goals to meet her clients where they are at. Laura has experience working with youth and adults for many years in a range of treatment settings from schools, youth rehabilitation, to outpatient addiction treatment. Laura holds a degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling and an active license with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health.
