My Approach to Therapy

I have a passion for working with adults struggling with mental health. I listen intently to fully understand you and then help you create a plan so that you're armed with the necessary tools and support to navigate whatever you're facing. Establishing a safe space where you can "say the unsayable" while being seen and heard is paramount. I use a no-nonsense, practical approach which is clear and easy to understand. I believe when we combine a compassionate, judgment-free therapeutic relationship + a little bit of psychoeducation + a dash of accountability + a of sprinkle of support that it equals something extraordinary. It is an opportunity to release negative energy, a new way of understanding and relating to the world, and a renewed confidence in our own decisions. It amounts to a "sixth sense", a new set of eyes, which enables the client to release stress and anxiety , and assists them to see faulty ways of thinking, abandon old unproductive subconscious patterns, and empowers them to create new positive and productive thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and experiences. My greatest joy in being a therapist is in seeing the growth and transformation each and every client is capable of. I look forward to helping you in your journey.

My Practice & Services

I work with older teen and adult clients dealing with trauma, PTSD or CPTSD, anxiety, depression, infidelity, grief, addiction, emotional or physical abuse, cultural differences, substance abuse, domestic violence, codependence, and "roller coaster relationships." I use evidence based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Solution Focused Therapy.
