My Approach to Therapy

I partner with my clients to develop greater ease in day-to-day interactions and relationships with partners, family members, friends and co-workers. I work with individual adults looking to reduce anxiety, strengthen their connections with themselves and others, increase effective communication, and create more fulfilling relationships.

Supervision Details

I have extensive training and experience providing clinical supervision to post-graduate, pre-licensed therapists seeking LPC or LMFT licensure. I am an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, have taught at the University of Colorado Denver's graduate school, and was a Director of a large internship program in Denver, training candidates completing MA, MSW, PsyD and PhD programs. I love being a supervisor! Contact me for more details about my approach and how I can support you.

Focused Modalities

Fees & Rates

My fee for supervision is $150 per hour. I occasionally facilitate small-group supervision groups, where supervisees can learn from me and each other at a more affordable rate.

My Practice & Services

I like to begin the counseling process with a phone consultation (free) so we can get to know each other and determine if we are a good fit for each other. One important factor in successful therapy outcomes is a strong working relationship between therapist and client. If we decide to move forward, the first session will include some information gathering and goal-setting so we both know the focus of your work moving forward. The focus may change over time, which is why I like to revisit goals for therapy periodically to ensure the process continues to feel valuable and effective. Call me or drop me an email when you'd like to get started!

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Anxiety: We'll explore the source of your anxiety to help you understand it and develop self-compassion. Then, we'll practice specific skills designed to help you help yourself to reduce anxiety, and experience more ease in everyday life. Relationship stress: As a marriage and family therapist, I have unique experience and skills to help you understand conflict and distance in your relationships with a partner, adult child, parent, friend and others. We'll start by getting a better understanding of the problem, and then develop specific skills to help you find more compassion for yourself and others, communicate more effectively, establish healthy boundaries and reduce conflict.
