My Approach to Therapy

Hello, I'm Joe! I specialize in ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression- help with overwhelm, feeling stuck, and improving focus, (Neurodivergent and LGBTQ friendly). “And how do you feel about that?” - Says every TV Show ever. I prefer therapy to be more like a conversation than an interrogation! From personal experience, I know that mixing anxiety with opening up to a stranger isn’t exactly anyone’s idea of fun. That’s exactly what it felt like the first time I went to my own therapy . Trust me I'm chill! My goal is to make this process as relaxed and low-pressure as possible. “I want things to be different, but I don’t know where to start.” Whether you are constantly overwhelmed, feel like you can't focus, or just want life to be less crappy- I'd be honored to walk with you. I know how intimidating starting therapy can be, (I avoided it way too long myself). But I hope you give it a try. Check out my website to schedule with me or have a free consultation call!

My Therapy Focus

Therapy is not like a movie where you just cry once and everything suddenly feels better. I take a direct action oriented approach, where we start making small changes from the start to help improve your life. "Therapy is not about giving advice, but understanding why you don't follow your own good advice." We'll start by making therapy feel calm and stress-free by building tools to regulate and re-center. We will then look at your specific goals and figure out what obstacles are in the way of you achieving them. I use evidence-based methods tailored to you and check in often about what's working and what is not.

Groups I Work With

I work with adults, teens, and college students who are dealing with anxiety, panic attacks, ADHD, focus and motivation challenges, stress from school or work, and overwhelm from technology or social media. I also support individuals struggling with videogame addiction, porn addiction, compulsive phone use, online gambling, social media addiction, and general digital-wellness concerns. I frequently work with neurodivergent clients (ADHD, autism traits), high-achieving professionals, students navigating academic burnout, and people dealing with relationship stress, self-esteem issues, or difficulty balancing modern-life demands. My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming, trauma-informed, and welcoming to clients seeking a nonjudgmental, practical, and tech-aware approach.
