I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor in Texas. I have over 15 years of experience working in the mental health field. I am a Certified Anger Resolution Therapist and EMDR. I specialize in anger management and working with caregivers of the elderly and disabled. I have several years of experience working with individuals who live with intellectual disabilities and those who live with chronic painillness. My approach to therapy is solution-oriented and, at times, direct. You are the expert on your life and the experiences you have had. I will explore possible goals for counseling with you. I will treat you with sensitivity, respect, and empathy during our time working together. I prefer to use solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, reality therapy, EMDR, and emotionally focused therapy in my sessions. By getting to know you, I will figure out which type of approach is going to be most beneficial to you. Reaching out for help is not an easy decision to make and is the first step in creating change.
