Im a certified psychoanalyst and licensed psychologist with over 40 years of experience. I bring my dedication, passion, training, and experience to help you work-through difficult, painful situations and conflicts. My approach is imbued with compassion and understanding to enable you to achieve more insight and self-awareness. I would also like to stress; this collaborative process helps deepen expand access to your inner world, address the impediments to feeling better, and gain more of what you want out of your relationships, career, and life.
I'm very good at helping couples and individuals from a variety of backgrounds coping with depression, anxiety, loss, trauma, addiction, and relationship problems. I'm also especially adept (experience and psychoanalytic training) at helping you manage and work through long-term problems, conflicts, and deficits. By this I mean those struggles that have afflicted your life for long periods of time; including a loss of meaning, self-loathing, poor self-esteem, depression, anxiety and fear, chronic relationship conflicts, and the nearly ceaseless pain and suffering of trauma.
My Practice & Services
I do not accept insurance. However, I do have a sliding fee schedule for those who cannot afford my full fee.
I can also provide receipts that are usually sufficient for reimbursement but I do not work with insurance companies.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
This process helps you to discover and build on unrecognized strengths and abilities to reach towards fulfillment. Whether it's psychoanalysis or psychoanalytic psychotherapy, it's been my experience that these highly interactive processes, focusing as much on unconscious dynamics as conscious ones, work to reduce pain and suffering, strengthen relationships, and improve overall functioning leading to living a more creative, productive, meaningful life.
