My Approach to Therapy

At People Not Problems, I approach therapy as a collaborative journey, where together, we uncover the meanings and experiences shaping your life. I believe in creating a space where we can re-author stories, not just by addressing challenges but by inviting transformation. With a deep respect for each client's unique narrative, I help clients explore and experience new ways of relating that foster connection, resilience, and clarity. My work is grounded in empathy and guided by the principles of systemic therapy. We’ll examine relational dynamics, past influences, and the dilemmas you face as you move toward meaningful change. I don’t offer quick fixes but instead focus on lasting, second-order change that resonates deeply across all aspects of your life. This approach allows us to move beyond just what hurts today, empowering you to live with a renewed sense of purpose and possibility.

Groups I Work With

I work with a wide range of individuals, couples, and families, each with unique stories and experiences. My practice focuses on: Couples and Families: I support couples and families navigating challenges in their relationships, including co-parenting, commitment fears, and emotional and physical intimacy. I also work with those seeking discernment counseling as they consider staying together or moving apart. Men and Masculinity: I work with men grappling with relational challenges, identity, and personal growth, often in the context of relationships, life transitions, or societal expectations. I offer a compassionate space to explore what it means to live authentically and vulnerably. LGBTQ+ and Polyamorous Individuals: I am an ally and advocate, creating a safe space for those in the LGBTQ+ and poly communities, as well as individuals exploring or struggling with diverse identities or lifestyles. Together, we work to dismantle shame and build narratives of pride and acceptance. Individuals Facing Suicidality: Using the CAMS framework, I support individuals experiencing suicidality, guiding them through compassionate assessment, collaborative goal setting, and the journey toward a meaningful life.
