My Approach to Therapy

Before entering private practice with Leek Therapy, my primary work focused on community mental health, complex trauma, and social justice. Working in non-profit organizations and residential programs, I developed a relational therapeutic approach that values trauma-informed and culturally responsive interventions. My work with adolescents, young adults, and families is grounded in the belief that all individuals deserve access to mental health care that feels safe, collaborative, and inclusive. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), and I received a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Trauma Studies Specialization as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University. I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Psychological First Aid. My hope is that, through authentic relationship, empowerment and a compassionately curious approach, individuals feel encouraged to fully participate in the treatment process they are seeking.

My Practice & Services

Leek Therapy is a private group practice of over 20 professional therapists and counselors. Our therapists have a wide variety of therapeutic approaches and include specialists in trauma, eating disorders, ADHD, children, sexual and gender identity, addiction and much more. They are supported by a full time, professional staff of Client Care Specialists that will help place you with the right therapist, with the right experience and expertise for you. When you contact Leek Therapy, we will ALWAYS get back to you right away and place you with a therapist quickly. Because we're a group, we won't leave you on your own if the therapist you chose isn't available when you are, we'll introduce to you a therapist who's just as qualified and IS available to help you.

My Therapy Focus

My work as a mental health professional is grounded in the belief that all individuals deserve access to mental health care that feels safe, person-centered and affirming. I have a passion for working with adolescents and young adults around high-risk experiences (including complex trauma, domestic violence, exploitation, ptsd, restorative justice). My hope is that, through relationship, empowerment and a compassionately curious approach, individuals feel encouraged to find their voice, advocate for their needs.
