My approach in therapy is collaborative, supportive, and goal oriented.
I have worked with individuals with trauma, emotional dysregulation, mood disorders and self-esteem. I use a blend of solution-focused, CBT, and person-centered treatment. In my spare time, I spend time with my wife and 3 boys enjoying time outside and helping them discover new things. When I'm not with them, I enjoy gaming, Marvel movies, and anime.
When you walk into therapy, I want you to feel safe, welcomed, and understood exactly as you are. My role is to be there with you: listening deeply, learning your story, and helping you feel less alone. You don’t have to have it all figured out; we’ll navigate it together, at your pace. I combine evidence-based tools like dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) with the depth and insight of interpersonal psychodynamic work. This means we’ll focus on helping you cope with what’s happening right now, and look at patterns, relationships, and experiences that shape how you see yourself and the world. Along the way, you’ll gain skills, emotional control, clarity, and new ways of dealing with life’s challenges. People often tell me I bring warmth, compassion, and a calming presence to our sessions, along with the kind of honesty and gentle encouragement that makes it easier to make changes. My hope is that you leave therapy feeling better in the moment, and also more confident, more connected, and more hopeful about your life.

I am a patient, tolerant, empathic, reliable and responsive person. I bring to my work a sense of humor and a strong desire to stay up-to-date with advances in my field and related health fields. I have the expertise and training to work with individuals and couples across a wide range of concerns. Areas of special experience include anxiety and mood, bipolar and eating disorders, career development, relationships, and pressures that are particular to professional settings.

Life is hard. We all face seasons of winter, where a disruption leads to feelings of grief, loneliness, anger, or anxiety. Even desired change can trigger difficult emotional experiences and heightened stress. Our modern life is so crowded with demands that many of us feel overextended, under supported, and disconnected from ourselves and others. At times, it can be difficult to find meaning and purpose in our lives and relationships. Few of us were taught how to recognize and metabolize emotional experiences or how to navigate interpersonal difficulties. My goal is to create a space where you will feel heard and understood, but also challenged and empowered to explore your life and make lasting change. Together, we will work to identify and begin to challenge and modify interpersonal patterns, habits, and beliefs that that are keeping you stuck. I pull from different modalities to meet your needs. Sometimes, we might have an exploratory session to increase self awareness or self compassion. Other times, we might engage in active behavioral experiments or exposures. Through our work together, you will learn to build skill and confidence to manage life’s stressors. While individual goals vary, I aim to help my clients live more consciously with more clarity and a better understanding and acceptance of self.
In therapy with me, you will be welcome, just as you are, as we work together to understand your unique circumstances. We'll look closely at what causes you pain, how you can have a new experience of yourself, and what is possible in your life. You may be coming to therapy because you are suffering, you feel stuck, or you simply want to know yourself better. Here's what you can expect from me: I will listen to you with my whole self. I will challenge your assumptions. I will try to see into some of your blind spots. And I will do my best to help you have a fresh and surprising encounter with yourself, one that you can draw upon long after you leave the session. Therapy can help enormously if there is a good match between the therapist and the client. I invite you to contact me to see if we would work well together.
