I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania, who graduated from Widener University with a Masters of Social Work and a PhD in Human Sexuality. I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities based on my clients’ needs which include solution-focused, systemic, and attachment-based approaches. I work with individuals and couples facing the following issues: anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship distress, and sexual concerns including pelvicsexual pain, performance anxiety, low sexual desire, low sexual self-esteem, difficulties with orgasm and wanting to explore alternative lifestyles. I believe in the value of creating a strong therapeutic relationship with each client through consistent support and acceptance. I believe this strong relationship is important to empower clients to create change in their to achieve their goals. I provide an affirming space for all sexual and gender identities.
I have supported individuals and familes through using an empathetic and transparent counseling style. Life is hard. We all face seasons of winter, where a disruption leads to feelings of grief, loneliness, anger, or anxiety. Even desired change can trigger difficult emotional experiences and heightened stress. Our modern life is so crowded with demands that many of us feel overextended, under supported, and disconnected from ourselves and others. At times, it can be difficult to find meaning and purpose in our lives and relationships. Few of us were taught how to recognize and metabolize emotional experiences or how to navigate interpersonal difficulties. My goal is to create a space where you will feel heard and understood, but also challenged and empowered to explore your life and make lasting change. Together, we will work to identify and begin to challenge and modify interpersonal patterns, habits, and beliefs that that are keeping you stuck. I pull from different modalities to meet your needs. Sometimes, we might have an exploratory session to increase self awareness or self compassion. Other times, we might engage in active behavioral experiments or exposures. Through our work together, you will learn to build skill and confidence to manage life’s stressors. While individual goals vary, I aim to help my clients live more consciously with more clarity and a better understanding and acceptance of self.
I have been a psychotherapist for over 20 years, working with individuals couples and families. I work with individuals and families dealing with a wide range of issues, and with both traditional and non traditional families. Who ever I am working with, I pay attention to the context of people's lives and the importance of the significant relationships in our lives. As a family and couple therapist I work with the ways our interaction patterns serve to promote healing, and the ways that those patterns help to maintain problems. In difficult times both individuals and families can become focused on their problems, and the more positive parts of our lives can become diminished. I think that one of the important tasks of therapy is to help people to focus on and utilize their strengths and resources
Life can feel overwhelming sometimes. Whether you're struggling with anxiety that won't quiet, depression that feels heavy, obsessive thoughts that won't let go, or trauma that still hurts, please know that you don't have to navigate these challenges alone. I'm here to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and growth. With over 10 years of experience supporting people through their most difficult moments, I've had the privilege of witnessing incredible resilience and transformation. My background spans case management, inpatient psychiatric care, substance use recovery, and family services, giving me a deep appreciation for how life's circumstances—cultural, social, and emotional—can create barriers to the change we long for. This experience has taught me that healing happens best when we honor the whole person, not just the symptoms.
Human connection is at the center of my work. I believe that healing begins in a safe, supportive relationship where you feel understood and respected. My role is not to provide quick fixes, but to partner with you as we explore your experiences, strengthen resilience, and create space for meaningful change. I draw on evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). These methods can help reduce distress, shift unhelpful patterns, and support the mind and body in processing trauma. I also provide dedicated support for adolescents, offering a space where they can feel safe to express themselves and build the tools they need to navigate life’s challenges. In addition, I offer psychedelic integration therapy, helping clients process insights from psychedelic experiences and apply them in grounded, practical ways. Above all, I aim to create a compassionate, collaborative environment that honors your unique story and helps you move toward healing and growth.
I believe the key to successful treatment is creating a safe, nonjudgmental space that enhances shared curiosity and connection. I will work with you to identify thoughts and behaviors that may be limiting your potential to lead your most fulfilling and meaningful life. Together, we will get to the root of these self-limiting thoughts and behaviors. I have experience working with adults of all ages and backgrounds. I am particularly passionate about supporting clients going through fertility challenges and entering parenthood.
Everyone can benefit from support from time to time. Life’s challenges, whether they involve stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, or major transitions, can leave us feeling overwhelmed or disconnected. Therapy provides a space to better understand and navigate these experiences, offering support and tools for personal growth, healing, and change. My style is collaborative, warm, and direct, and I integrate talk and somatic therapy into my approach. This approach can help us more deeply understand patterns in our lives while finding different ways to move forward. Along with insight-oriented and reflective conversation, our work together may include mindfulness exercises, developing tools for emotional and physical regulation, and deepening awareness of the mind-body connection. I am kink positive, sexpositive, bodypositive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, antiracist, and knowledgeable about alternative relationship structures. I welcome people from across all spectrums of identity and self-expression. A core hope I hold for my clients is that through this work, they develop a greater sense of agency both within themselves and in their lives.
My approach focuses on helping individuals have hope and belief in the knowledge that they can live a life of fulfillment and contentment. Often people feel broken, overwhelmed and hopeless when faced with life challenges, whatever they may be. It feels like no one understands and nothing can be done, but with help and we all need help from time to time; life can feel worth living. A number of theories are used according to the unique needs you may have. I became a therapist because I love to connect with others on a deeper level. Every since I was about 5 years old, I knew I wanted to be a Social Worker. When we would play house, I would be the social worker. My passion has remained, I enjoy what I do and see it as my part in helping to make this world a better place. My motto is "Bring Quality Back to Care". To treat people as people and not a number. No waiting hours, no feel of being in an institution, no disrespectful staff; just me brimming with a smile filled with enthusiasm and eager to help you reach your goal.
Psychotherapy can help end depression, anxiety, and bothersome thoughts and behaviors; it can alleviate pain and help you to enjoy life more. I specialize in helping clients discover and resolve the root cause(s) of their symptoms and also help them to understand how maladaptive thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors keep them from achieving their goals and attaining happiness; they learn to free up energy for making positive changes in their lives. Your session is time for you; it is your time to be heard.
Life often presents individuals with circumstances that are difficult to navigate. I will work with you to address challenges and overcome obstacles towards fulfilling your potential. We will explore your patterns of behavior, their origins, and usefulness or counter productiveness to facilitate your achieving healthy and effective approaches. Focusing on your feelings and perceptions and how they affect your behavior, you will develop effective skills for achieving success.
