Life can be challenging and painful. Relationships break. Your self-esteem may suffer, and life can feel lonely and lacking. Addictions may be ruining your life and the lives of ones you love. A history of trauma can challenge your most cherished hopes and dreams, and can drain your coping skills. This pain can touch every area of your life. I know that pain can be healed. I am a licensed professional counselor who embraces holistic methods that focus on belief systems, emotions, relationships, spirituality, and health. I offer counseling services for women, men, couples, and teens in a safe and confidential environment. I specialize in helping people navigate the challenges of addiction, interventions, depression, OCD, grief, eating disorders, anxiety, incest, women's issues, infidelity, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Do you feel hurt or frustrated in your relationships? Or do you feel alone and that it is difficult to connect? Do you feel stuck in the past? Or have you experienced a recent trauma or loss? Do you worry about everyday events or feel insecure about your future? Do you cope with painful feelings in ways that are self-defeating? If you feel held back from the life you want and deserve, I would like to help you. My therapeutic style is interactive, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I am genuinely empathic and curious, and I want to discuss your life experiences, emotional reactions, and perceptions with you. Together, we will better understand how your past affects the way you view yourself and the world, the choices you make, your patterns of relating to others, and explore new options to reduce your suffering and improve your life. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with advanced training and over 25 years experience providing effective psychotherapy to adults with a broad range of difficulties. I also have expertise working with survivors of childhood abuse, adult traumas, relationship problems, depression and anxiety, pregnancy loss and infertility, and life transitions including young adults leaving home, marriage, becoming a parent, separation and divorce, changing careers, retirement, and the loss of a loved one. It is not often an easy decision to start therapy or seek out a new therapist, but if you contact me, we can talk about any concerns or questions you have about the process.
I am committed to providing empathetic treatment that progresses at your pace. We will work together collaboratively to identify goals and make a plan to achieve them. It is important for me to provide you with a warm and genuine experience in therapy in order to feel comfortable and not judged. My passion as a therapist is to help facilitate your healing and personal growth.
Do you carry more than you show? You might be a therapist, caregiver, or capable professional who’s always holding it together, while feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck inside. You’ve done the work. You’re self-aware. But something still isn’t shifting. There’s nothing wrong with you; your nervous system may need a different kind of support. That’s where I come in. I offer emotionally intelligent care that helps your system regulate and reset so healing doesn’t depend on willpower alone. My approach blends trauma-informed therapy with two powerful tools: neurofeedback brain training and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). These methods support the brain and body directly. They help you access clarity, calm, and relief, especially when talk therapy hasn't been enough. Some clients work with me as their primary therapist. Others already have a trusted therapist, and we collaborate—your therapist holds the foundation, and I support movement when things feel stuck. Together, we go at your pace. We honor your sensitivity and your strength. This is care for deep feelers and high-achieving adults who are ready to feel more like themselves again, without being rushed, fixed, or re-traumatized.

You know that you can be successful, but you're beginning to think that you are dropping too many balls. Your experience is the foundation of our work together, and I'll teach you the specific methods you need to fit your own demands. Your life does not have to be overwhelming. Even when a part of you feels it's impossible, there is another part that knows that you can do it. You need that positive, accomplished side to shine and dominate your day. I can help you, show you, how to do that. It's time to conquer the anxiety, overwhelm, and relationship problems. Call me today. Let's talk!
My goal is to provide a place where you feel safe, understood, and respected. We will work together to explore and identify the areas of your life that you would like to understand better and develop plans to help you reach your goals. I have seen my clients find success with my treatment approaches combining CBT, mindfulness and a psychodynamic oriented approach to reach their goals. My approach to therapy works to build on your own personal strengths and support you with these tools and strategies that fit your individual needs. Together they provide a deeper self awareness and understanding of the way our experiences have shaped us, our decisions and our view of our world. Having that knowledge is transformative and empowering. “Having courage does not mean that we are unafraid. Having courage and showing courage means we face our fears. We are able to say, "I have fallen, but I will get up." ~ Maya Angelou
We are a collaborative team working on your health and well-being. In the interest of enhanced communication between us, I'd like to take the time to explain the process of counseling. The process of counseling can be both exciting and scary, as you reach within yourself to achieve your full potential. It often takes a "leap of faith" to begin the counseling process, and you've already achieved that difficult goal. You will set and achieve many other difficult goals in our time together! In counseling, I work primarily from three different viewpoints. The first is called cognitive-behavioral, which is really just a term to describe the fact that I believe that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are very intertwined, and that sometimes our problems are caused by the way we think, feel, and/or behave. This gets complicated because all of these things become mixed with one another, so after a while it may become difficult to sort out what started the problem in the first place. One of the things I will do in therapy is to help you sort out your thoughts, feelings and behaviors, and which of these may contribute to your problems. Sometimes simply restructuring the way we think is enough for us to work through our problems. A second viewpoint I work from deals with the family in which you grew up. Many of the things we experience in our childhood affects us throughout our lives, and, in fact, help to shape the personalities we have as adults. One of the things we will do in therapy is explore your family history to look for patterns and themes that may affect you and play out in your life today. Sometimes simply recognizing your family's patterns, whether currently, or how you think and feel about them in the past, can help you to work through your issues. Finally, I work from a systemic point of view. Simply put, I acknowledge that each one us is embedded in a greater context than ourselves. We have families, friends, school, work, community, and other life situations that greatly affect how we function. I will work with you to discover if there are any systemic difficulties in your life, and help you to resolve them. These are my primary ways of helping you in counseling, though I will utilize a variety of techniques to help you in any way that I can. One of the things that you can expect, though, is that I will be giving you 100% in our work together. If you put the same amount of effort into this process, you will be amazed at what you can achieve!

In therapy with me, you will be welcome, just as you are, as we work together to understand your unique circumstances. We'll look closely at what causes you pain, how you can have a new experience of yourself, and what is possible in your life. You may be coming to therapy because you are suffering, you feel stuck, or you simply want to know yourself better. Here's what you can expect from me: I will listen to you with my whole self. I will challenge your assumptions. I will try to see into some of your blind spots. And I will do my best to help you have a fresh and surprising encounter with yourself, one that you can draw upon long after you leave the session. Therapy can help enormously if there is a good match between the therapist and the client. I invite you to contact me to see if we would work well together.
I work with individuals from late adolescence through middle adulthood, with a special focus on college-aged individuals and those navigating the challenges of young adulthood. Many of my clients come to therapy struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or difficulty connecting with others socially or emotionally. Some feel stuck, unmotivated, or overwhelmed by stress. Others are navigating relationship issues or life transitions and want support in understanding their patterns and moving toward healthier connections. My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I draw from a range of evidence-based methods—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Humanistic Therapy—to meet each client’s unique needs. I often find CBT especially helpful in addressing anxiety, depression, and social skills by offering clear, practical tools for change. Together, we’ll work to build insight, strengthen hope, and create meaningful goals that support lasting growth and emotional well-being.
