Hi, I’m Marnie Fulton, an LCSW practicing in both Georgia and Florida. I work with clients ages 18 and up and am a collaborative provider, engaging with you in developing treatment goals and working with you toward meeting these goals.
Hello there and welcome! My name is Marissa Herrera and I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) working virtually in Georgia. My treatment approach is specific to each individual as I utilize trans-theoretical models of solution-focused behavioral therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and embracing change therapy. I have a passion for helping individuals who are ready to get back to themselves. I believe everyone has the capacity to find their own truth, challenge negative belief systems, and learn more about their capabilities. My specialties range from treating individuals who have difficulty with cultural and gender identity challenges, adjustment issues, depression, anxiety, neurodevelopmental needs, and life stage changes.
My name is Chrishina J. Scott. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, with over 15 years of experience in the field of clinical mental health. My scope of practice focuses on helping adults who are finding challenges with overcoming specific life changes/adjustments (i.e., break-up/divorce, empty nester, work-related stress, retirement, grief ( 1 year), young adults transitioning into independent decision-making, etc.). As a result, the individual may be experiencing stress-related or situational anxiety and/or possibly a bit of a low mood (without the need for crisis intervention, or the inclusion of suicidal thoughts or self-harming behaviors).
I believe it's important to have healthy self-talk and CBT will teach you how to identify and reconstruct the way you think. This will approach will help with any presenting issue because we cannot control others only ourselves and the way we respond to things. I know that not everyone wants to be in therapy for a long time so I feel that teaching a person (solution focus) how to identify presenting issues and using problem-solving skills, can help increase your tools to help maintain emotional stability. I also guide clients how to learn how to self-regulate so they can manage their emotions better, using CBT. I find that people who struggle with addiction, anger issues, anxious behaviors, depression, familycouples, and teens, work best with my modalities. I'm willing to see anyone who will put in the work outside of our sessions. Unfortunately, I do not find my approaches to be best suited for clients who struggle with a form of a personality disorder or severe trauma and usually will help the client find a more suitable therapist for them. I'm from the north, originally so I speak lovingly from the hip and direct with feedback. Most of my clients tell me that they love that I'm kind and honest and that I'm easy to talk to. I'm very down to Earth, because as I tell my clients you learn just as much about me as I do them. I was a teacher, prior and worked with many teens and families that struggled with many issues. I love helping others and I feel so rewarded that I can help a person and see the light bulb go off when something clicks. Since I'm solution focused, I find that it's important to set goals ONCE they can regulate their emotions properly. In our first session, you should expect that we will go over some housekeeping things and complete the intake. In addition, I go over our skill sets in the first 4 weeks to help you gain emotional regulation on your own. So during the 1st session, will go over a skill set along with your presenting issues that brought you to therapy.
My experience as a therapist has been filled with working in group homes, school settings, office settings, and community settings with children, adolescents, and adults. I understand that overcoming mental health issues is a collaboration and not a one-sided interaction. My extensive work with clients is comprised of managing anxiety disorders, depression disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, and numerous other personality and mood disorders. My therapeutic approach includes person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-based therapy, and reality therapy. I believe that everyone’s emotional, mental, and physical health matters. As an eclectic therapist, striking a balance between working with evidence-based theories and individual preferences is supremely important. I believe in the significance of helping others feel inner peace and find purpose in life. I can successfully work with many individuals. The population that I work best with are people that are open to change and challenging themselves. Although I don't usually assign homework, I often try to individualize my approach to the person I'm helping. I believe keeping an open mind and ear are important for both sides of the therapeutic interaction. I maintain that the therapeutic process is helped when those I aid are able to understand that perfection is not the objective, but that aiming toward being a more well-rounded individual is the goal. My communication style is direct and supportive. I believe that motivating, coaching, and educating my clients is essential to helping them progress. Astute, tolerant, observation and genuine listening help me find creative options for those I support. I explain my expectations for communication, attendance, client privileges, and confidentiality in the initial session.

I became a therapist to help others realize that we are all resilient beings capable of functioning better while working alongside life’s challenges. Based on my own experience as an adult, I too have had to learn the appropriate educational tools and coping skills to show up each day at my best …despite life’s hardships. My goal for every one of my clients is to learn different ways to cope with issues by identifying problems that are blocking growth. I strive to assist others on how to change their ways of thinking and reacting to problems that occur in their lives. I show great effort in normalizing therapy so that we can heal ….as a whole. Our first session will involve us getting to know each other. I will be learning about your social support, work andor school life, family, hobbies, and any other organizations you are affiliated with. During this time, it is very important for me to create a safe space for you to share why you are seeking treatment and for us to build goals and practice strategies to help you reach your desired outcomes.

My philosophy in working with each client is that I am here to help you. I hope to work with you, helping you understand where you are in the process of change, motivating you to move towards the next stage, assisting you throughout the therapeutic process, and we move at your pace.
