I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Specialization in Christian Sex Therapy. I was a counselor at a behavioral health hospital for seven years and a caseworker for Child Protective Services prior to receiving my professional license. I received a Master of Professional Counseling from Richmont Graduate University in 2005 and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2000. Being a counselor allows me the privilege of walking with someone in the midst of their struggles all the way to healing. I aim to provide an environment that is safe and encourages clients to be themselves, free of judgment. I favor Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the Client-Centered approach. I welcome working with clients battling anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, anger management, and sexual-related issues such as abuseassaultdysfunctionaddiction who are looking to make positive changes both emotionally and behaviorally. Maintain eye contact, calm atmosphere, good listening, reassuring tone. I have a natural compassion for people who are suffering and a desire to help them improve their lives. Successful care and progress are comprised of steady improvements in mood, completion of steps and goals, and increased self-awareness. During the first session, we will review the client’s intake information, identify the areas of concern, and discuss general goals for therapy.
If you’re reading this, you might be feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or like you're carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. Maybe you've been trying to keep everything together—pushing through anxiety, past trauma, or the stress of balancing work, relationships, and family—while silently wondering, When do I get to just breathe? I see you. I know how hard it is to show up for everyone else while feeling like no one sees what you’re carrying. And I want you to know—you don’t have to do this alone. I’m Fightress Aaron, a licensed professional counselor, and my passion is helping women like you find relief, healing, and a sense of peace within themselves. My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and deeply affirming. We’ll move at your pace, creating a safe space where you can process your emotions, let go of what no longer serves you, and step into the version of yourself that feels whole. Using trauma-informed techniques like EMDR and Brainspotting, alongside traditional talk therapy, I’ll help you not just cope, but truly heal—unraveling the patterns that keep you stuck and giving you practical tools to feel more grounded, empowered, and at ease. You deserve support. You deserve healing. You deserve to take up space and be heard. If you're ready, I'm here to walk this journey with you. Let’s take this step together.
I believe it's important to have healthy self-talk and CBT will teach you how to identify and reconstruct the way you think. This will approach will help with any presenting issue because we cannot control others only ourselves and the way we respond to things. I know that not everyone wants to be in therapy for a long time so I feel that teaching a person (solution focus) how to identify presenting issues and using problem-solving skills, can help increase your tools to help maintain emotional stability. I also guide clients how to learn how to self-regulate so they can manage their emotions better, using CBT. I find that people who struggle with addiction, anger issues, anxious behaviors, depression, familycouples, and teens, work best with my modalities. I'm willing to see anyone who will put in the work outside of our sessions. Unfortunately, I do not find my approaches to be best suited for clients who struggle with a form of a personality disorder or severe trauma and usually will help the client find a more suitable therapist for them. I'm from the north, originally so I speak lovingly from the hip and direct with feedback. Most of my clients tell me that they love that I'm kind and honest and that I'm easy to talk to. I'm very down to Earth, because as I tell my clients you learn just as much about me as I do them. I was a teacher, prior and worked with many teens and families that struggled with many issues. I love helping others and I feel so rewarded that I can help a person and see the light bulb go off when something clicks. Since I'm solution focused, I find that it's important to set goals ONCE they can regulate their emotions properly. In our first session, you should expect that we will go over some housekeeping things and complete the intake. In addition, I go over our skill sets in the first 4 weeks to help you gain emotional regulation on your own. So during the 1st session, will go over a skill set along with your presenting issues that brought you to therapy.

Hi, my name is Jodi Spires. For 25 years, I have worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with people learning to deal with depression, anxiety, trauma, and family issues. My approach to counseling is more eclectic than any particular approach. For the most part, I think people already possess the answers they seek; talking with a counselor can provide clarity and expose potential blind spots.
My name is Tori, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I approach therapy from an integrative perspective with an emphasis on Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Processing Theory, Narrative Therapy, Expressive Arts and Mindfulness Techniques, and some Feminist Theories as well. I have a Holistic and collaborative approach to therapy. I believe that you are the expert of your own experience, and my job is never to tell you what to do but instead to support you along your healing journey, process what comes up on the path to healing, and empower you in your continued growth. I have a Holistic and collaborative approach to therapy. I believe that you are the expert of your own experience, and my job is never to tell you what to do but instead to support you along your healing journey, process what comes up on the path to healing, and empower you in your continued growth. I prefer to work with adults. I have experience with depression, anxiety, BIPOC, relationship issues, self-care, body positivity, LGBTQ+ affirming care, trauma, self-esteem, processing the impacts of systemic oppression and capitalism, grief, and much more. To me, it is essential to create a safe, judgment-free, supportive, empathetic, inclusive, warm, and empowering environment for my clients. The best analogy I can use to describe what it feels like working with me therapeutically is: Imagine we are in a car. You are driving, and I am in the passenger seat. Along the path, you decide where we go and which turns we make. I may make an observation or shed some light on a caution sign you might have missed previously, but no matter what turns you take, I am right there with you supporting you on this journey. We may encounter some rough terrain, but you will not have to manage it alone." I always knew I wanted to be in the helping field. My mission in life has always been to positively impact the lives of others. When it came time to decide on a career path, this made the most sense for me because my whole life, I naturally found myself in the role of providing emotional support for friends, family, and even strangers. We set expectations and goals for therapy in the first two sessions. As we continue and adjust over time, we will revisit the goals as needed along the way to make any necessary changes. The first session is much more structured than most of our sessions will be because we will be reviewing informed consent, completing intake information, creating goals for therapy, and discussing your previous experiences in therapy so I can have a clear understanding of what you valued from that experience and what didn't work for you.
I work with each client as a team effort. Each client I see has their own story and unique perspective on that story, and I believe that within that story are the seeds to healing. My approach to helping my clients is in seeing each of my clients as a whole person who is struggling with something, whether it is anxiety, depression, relationships issues, substance abuse, communication, parenting, trauma, etc. Most often it is how we perceive a situation or a struggle that defines how we deal with it or respond to it. I hope that I can help you with whatever your struggle may be, and to help you rewrite your story. My favorite book of all time is Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning. One of the many wonderful things he says in that book is "When we are no longer able to change a situation we are challenged to change ourselves."
