I am a seasoned therapist specializing in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), internal family systems (IFS)-informed EMDR, brainspotting, and attachment. I help adults heal from the wounds of childhood trauma and provide compassionate support to college students navigating academic and personal challenges. Specifically, I love helping people learn ways to experience calm and relaxing moments, develop an understanding of feelings and why you do what you do, build a stronger sense of trust and connection to yourself and others, heal from painful past experiences including childhood trauma, grow in your ability to handle strong emotions, and expand your confidence, courage, and compassion to be your true self. I value the diversity of the human nervous system and utilize somatic approaches to support healing. This provides individualized support that combines evidence-based approaches to address various mental health challenges and promote personal growth. Providing a way to regulate your emotions and improve your problem-solving skills can have implications in every area of your life. Together, we'll create a collaborative, safe, and exploratory therapeutic space, utilizing an integrated approach that goes beyond talk therapy. I'm in network with CareFirst (Maryland), Aetna (New Jersey), and Quest (Pennsylvania).

You’ve always been the strong one. The responsible one. The one who holds everything together. It worked for a long time — but now the anxiety, pressure, and internal tension are harder to ignore. You may react quickly in conflict or shut down when overwhelmed. You might feel perfectionistic in your work, relationships, or how you present yourself. You want to understand why this is happening, where this comes from, and how to actually feel grounded instead of constantly performing “being okay.” I work with high-achieving Latina adults navigating anxiety rooted in childhood roles, attachment wounds, and cultural expectations. We explore how your past shaped your nervous system, your relationships, and your internal voice. We build nervous-system regulation skills so you can respond instead of react — and develop a calmer, more secure sense of self. Therapy with me is warm, steady, reflective, and trauma-informed. There’s no pressure to rush — we go at your pace. You get space to feel, integrate, and practice new ways of being that are not defined by your past or by expectations placed on you. You don’t have to carry this alone anymore. If you’re ready to feel more connected, more grounded, and more yourself — I’m here. Licensed in: New York, New Jersey, and Florida. Fully remote telehealth.
I believe that we begin our lives in relationship with others whether it is your natal parents, grandparents, adoptive parents, a group home as humans we don't live in isolation. Therefore, I work from the perspective that relationships are the origin of our greatest growth, yet can also be the source of our greatest challenges. My goal in our work together is to help you as an Individual, Couple, or Family to better understand these multifaceted relationships. Often these complicated relationships come intertwined with other issues which we can also examine together. As your therapist, I provide empathy, compassion and guidance to help you andor your family work through your challenges. I work with individuals suffering from depression and low self esteem, anxiety and anxiety disorders (fears, phobias, panic attacks, and obsessions), general life stress, the challenge of entering or exiting a relationship (singles and couples), divorce, parenting, career and money dilemmas, sexual concerns and sexual identity issues, addictions, anger management, family problems, step and blended families, body image, sexual abuse, trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, bereavement, and more.
I believe that therapy can change people in very real and dramatic ways. The collaborative relationship is key to understanding how both the past impacts on the present and how current behaviors, feelings and ideas may interfere in achieving a more personally satisfying life. I have over 30 years of experience in both individual and marital therapy. I have extensive post-graduate training and have taught and supervised numerous other psychotherapists. In a non-judgmental, open and reflective way I help people look at themselves and make changes in their lives.
Deciding to enter psychotherapy is one of the most compassionate choices you can make for yourself. In fact, it can represent an essential turning point in your life. However, it can also sometimes feel uncomfortable to talk to someone you don't know well. That's why I provide a caring, safe environment where I will listen to you carefully and where we will work together to understand and resolve the issues with which you are struggling--both in terms of how they affect your life now and in terms of how they became issues for you in the first place. I work with adults and adolescents who are struggling with a wide range of concerns, including relationship difficulties, perfectionism, anxiety, depression, loss, low self-esteem, and many more. When you enter my office, we will talk together about what you are having difficulty with and where you are feeling stuck. I strongly believe that therapy should be an interactive process, where we work together as a team. I received my bachelor's degree in psychology from Yale University and my master's degree in clinical social work from New York University. My theoretical approach is eclectic, but grounded in a psychodynamic approach to therapy, which means that we will work to establish benefits that not only help you right now, but can also stand the test of time. I look forward to hearing from you!
I believe that everyone encounters situations in life that call for guidance. Sometimes it's a life change that requires temporary support - or it can be more involved, such as recurring patterns or distressing events that require more long term exploration. I believe you are the expert in your own life and have the answers you need within. My goal is to offer a safe, sacred, non-judgmental and supportive space for you to find them. My approach is direct and down to earth. I want the people I work with to get what they need so they can manage their lives more effectively and joyously.
Safety and trust are the cornerstones of psychotherapy.
