I have found building a good foundation of trust and a non-judgemental open heart/mind approach allows us both to do our best work. Therapy is work, but I will be there for support and encouragement.

I have 15 years of experience specializing in infant, early childhood, perinatal, and adult mental health. I work with children from birth to 6 years old, parents during prenatal and postpartum periods, and adults in all stages of life. I am passionate about working with neurodiverse children and adults; providing parenting support and strengthening parent-child relationships; and exploring and understanding early attachment relationships. My approach is rooted in psychodynamic principles and is individually tailored to promote reflection, emotion regulation, and healing. I offer Individual Psychotherapy to adults who are experiencing a range of issues including adjusting to life transitions, anxiety, depression, addiction, problems with relationships or work, and those seeking to find balance in their lives. As a psychodynamic therapist, my primary focus is to help gain insight into emotional and relational patterns that lay as the foundation of mental health, rather than treating individual symptoms. Early childhood services include Child-Parent Play Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Play-Based Developmental Therapy. Play therapy provides a unique environment where children are given the opportunity to increase self-awareness and self-confidence, understand their thoughts and feelings, become resilient and adaptable, learn to manage big emotions in healthy ways, develop age-appropriate coping skills, and adjust to life events and transitions. Through Parent Support and Coaching, I work with parents to understand and develop new skills and strategies for addressing concerns in behavior and development. Parenting babies, toddlers, and preschool-age children is hard! Every child is different, and they don't come with their instruction manuals. Through perinatal psychotherapy and parent-infant psychotherapy, I help parents who may be stressed, overwhelmed, or ambivalent; may not feel bonded with their baby; parents who are easily distressed by fussiness; parents with depression anxiety; and parents who experienced birth trauma or infant loss. My training as both a Perinatal Mental Health Specialist and an Infant Mental Health Specialist provides me with a unique perspective and understanding of how perinatal anxiety and depression affect both parent and baby and the importance of including the baby in treatment, when appropriate.
Do you struggle with feeling lost, unsatisfied, or overwhelmed with your life? Do these struggles affect your relationships, your mood, or your work? I help adults and emerging adults work through these concerns. Life?s difficulties can cause feelings of anxiety and depression and affect our relationships. They can trigger feelings of anger, make us feel clingy, or cause us to seek time alone. I help clients work through these feelings and experiences, to improve your life and help you achieve your goals. In therapy, I strive to understand your unique world and to work with you to deepen your understanding of your struggles. I do this by working with you to create a supportive, trusting, and safe therapeutic relationship, through which difficult thoughts and feelings related to your struggles can be explored and understood more fully. This individualized and collaborative approach allows me to treat people as the individuals that they are, rather than a person with a diagnosis. No two treatments look the same, but my clinical decisions are guided by experience and contemporary research.
I provide empathetic, empowering care to individuals with a variety of support needs. I am a neurodivergent and LGBTQIA2S+-affirming therapist. When am I going to stop feeling like I'm always in survival mode? What if my childhood actually wasn't 'normal'? How does everyone know the rules for things that don't even have an instruction manual? Why did those things happen to me? Do I even deserve to take up space? How do I handle a world that feels like it’s always burning around me, where I’m constantly bracing for harm because of who I am? You’re carrying so much inside, more than feels possible, & it’s exhausting to hold it all on your own. You deserve a safe, empowering space to honour the parts of yourself just trying to survive this life in the best ways you know how. I will always meet you exactly where you're at. I believe therapy is a brave and continuous journey, and my goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to show up fully as your authentic self. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally conscious, and rooted in anti-diet culture and HAES, and I am an intentional neurodivergent and LGBTQIA2S+-affirming provider. The types of treatment I use greatly depend on the person(s) served and their support areas, what feels most aligned with their values, and how structured clients would like their sessions to be. I fully believe therapy is a collaborative process and that you are the expert of your story and your goals. Trauma-informed, impactful, and fit for 'real life' support is what I provide in my work, with a bit of humour sprinkled in along the way too – if it's helpful. I strive to be a therapist who 'gets it', and together, we’ll build a foundation of trust & safety, crafting a space that's empowering and goal-focused, using an ethical, evidence-based approach.
I believe strongly in the healing power of relationship. As a helper, I approach the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative and creative process. You are the expert on your life and experiences, and as we explore the nuances of your unique, personal story together, I view my role as helping to identify themes, patterns, and dynamics. I will offer a variety of suggestions and perspectives so that you may discover which feel most authentic for you personally. I often find myself pointing out the ways in which people speak to or relate with themselves internally, believing fully that awareness, acceptance, and self-compassion around our internal experiences give us greater choice in how to respond to them. My hope is to help you identify what you authentically value, so that we may begin to explore how you can bring yourself into alignment with the life you truly desire.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who is committed to helping my clients from a strength based perspective (identifying their strengths and finding positive ways forward). My approach is to be engaged and empathic helping my clients to find their true self. I have over 20 years of experience in the Denver metro area developing my diagnostic skills that discern and uncover what issues an individual brings that add to and subtract from their internal and interpersonal difficulties. I have provided diagnostic help to those struggling with ADHD, anxiety, depression, relationship and family issues, and trauma, amongst other things. I provide positive feedback within a solid therapeutic relationship. My approach leads to personal insights and knowledge, to self awareness and positive change. For those experiencing significant issues of loss andor pain I offer compassion and support. Respecting where each person begins the process of psychotherapy, I lead clients towards a deeper understanding of self that will bring them to a place of personal awareness and strong positive sense of self which will bring daily psychological, spiritual, and long term health. I welcome the opportunity to engage in the process of psychotherapy with clients (from children as young as 2) in individual or family sessions
My goal as a therapist is to help individuals and families achieve greater levels of wellness. None of us can control all of the situations we face in life. However, it is possible to develop a sense of wellness that goes beyond daily circumstances and allows you to feel joy, even in difficult times. I help clients to build the tools and insight needed to identify and overcome current roadblocks while better utilizing strengths. I use specifically designed experiences in sessions to help make therapy useful, motivating, and memorable. I also help families through a specific skills training to build healthy conflict skills. Conflict is often unavoidable, but it can be done in a healthy way. Contact me to see if the services and experience I provide are a good fit with what you are hoping to achieve.
We approach the counseling process from a collaborative perspective. We believe a strong therapeutic relationship with you creates a space for deep self-reflection, awareness, and growth. Through humor, metaphors, and experiential activities, we help you develop the ability to engage in the present moment so you can decide whether a behavior is consistent with your values. Through acceptance and mindfulness practices, we identify "how" you think about experiences to help create flexibility in moving toward personal growth and development. Our approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help you effectively address personal life challenges. We integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a personalized approach. With compassion and understanding, we work with each individual to build on their values and strengths to attain personal growth.
If you’re feeling stuck, caught in worry, self-doubt, or anxiety that just won’t quiet down, you’re not alone. Maybe the ways you’ve managed things before don’t seem to help anymore, or you're just feeling tired of holding it all together on your own. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and I want you to know it’s okay to not have it all figured out before you do. I work best with people who are thoughtful and ready for change, even if they’re not sure where to start. My job is to help you make sense of what you’re going through, and to walk with you as you move toward a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and true to who you are. In our sessions, I use proven approaches like ACT, CBT, ERP, and EMDR, but more than that, I focus on what actually works for you. We’ll slow things down, get curious about what’s going on inside, and work together to build tools that help you handle hard emotions, make decisions that fit your values, and feel more in control of your life. I believe change happens when we feel seen, supported, and safe. Therapy with me is a space where we can be real, with all the messiness, fear, and hope that comes with being human. If you're ready to begin, I’m here to meet you where you are.
As a therapist, I value your insight as much as my own. When I first started therapy for myself years ago, I was fortunate to have a therapist who asked me what I thought would help. This stuck with me through the years. I now use this approach with my own clients. I view you as the expert on your life, with my role being to work in collaboration with you to find realistic goals and solutions based on your unique circumstances.
I am passionate about helping people get what they really want for themselves. I use a non-judgmental compassionate approach that encourages self- care, learning skills to let go of worry, shame and guilt. I provide a guide to self- acceptance that allows people to naturally grow and change, welcome new challenges, have more freedom. My purpose as a therapist is to provide a safe, accepting, genuine environment to help people realize their goals. It is my job to genuinely listen, listen some more, validate a person's thoughts and feelings, help identify strengths and challenges, provide education, suggest ways of thinking and behaving, ask good questions, and always respect the answers. I think of therapy as teamwork and a wonderful exercise in cooperation. For the last 17 years I have had the privilege of seeing many people meet their goals and really come into their own. It continues to give me a profound sense of satisfaction. I would be honored to be a part of your journey.
