Available Sundays and 5pm and 6pm during weekdays. Do you just want to get better or do you want to thrive? I have been working in behavioral health for 16 years, and it has been a very rewarding experience. I have an energetic and enthusiastic approach and stay up-to-date with the latest information to provide the best care possible. I am well versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Positive Psychology (the study of optimizing functionality). I am originally from New York, so I have had the opportunity to gain experience at reputable institutions such as New York Presbyterian Hospital and Montefiore Health System. In California, I was the Director of the Behavioral Health Department at Salinas Valley Health from 2020 to 2024. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults with almost all types of diagnoses. I have many years of experience helping people address and overcome depression, anxiety, sports performance, borderline personality disorder, trauma, relationship issues, work stress, grief, and difficult life transitions. Depending on what you would like to get out of therapy, we may focus on getting to the root cause(s), improve communication skills, adapt to situations effectively, explore coping skills, and modify behavior. I earned my BA in Psychology from Boston College and my Master of Social Work from Fordham University. I also earned my MBA in Healthcare Administration in 2019. Outside of work, I enjoy boxing, playing golf, yoga, lifting weights, and going to the beach! What to expect? The first appointment is a thorough interview to get to know you. I will ask about upbringing, childhood, family, education, occupation, hobbies, social life, and psychiatric history. In follow-up sessions, we develop a strategy to address your goals. The therapy approach is contingent on the goals. Contact me to make an appointment! I look forward to working with you!

I am empathic, nonjudgmental and creative. I use a supportive, caring style to challenge my clients to achieve the goals they set for themselves. I am flexible, employing whatever therapeutic model fits the needs of my client. I am an involved therapist. I don't just sit back and nod as you talk without giving you some sort of structure, or insight. Sometimes I will even give you "homework" to help you achieve the goals you set for yourself during my sessions. But I also want you to feel this therapy is for you. My sessions are guided by your needs and instincts. My own intuition is secondary to your intuition because you always know yourself best. I believe that if you don't "own" your therapy, it won't work as it should.

You might be here because something isn’t working — even if you can’t fully name what it is. Maybe you feel anxious, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that are painful but familiar. You’ve probably been holding it together for a long time — doing what’s expected, showing up for others, managing the day-to-day. But inside, it’s exhausting. You might feel like you’re unraveling, like something is missing, or like no one really sees what you’re carrying. If any of this resonates, I want you to know: you're not alone, and you don't have to keep holding it all by yourself. I work with adults, teens, and couples who are ready to explore what’s underneath the surface. Many of the people I work with have lived through trauma, emotional neglect, or chronic stress — and while they’ve learned how to function, they don’t always feel connected, safe, or whole. You might be navigating anxiety, relationship difficulties, burnout, self-doubt, or patterns that feel impossible to break. I’m here to help you slow down, listen to yourself more deeply, and begin the process of healing from the inside out. My approach to therapy is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in compassion. I’m not a therapist who sits back in silence. I show up as a real person — present, engaged, and attuned to you. I bring warmth, curiosity, and deep respect for your story. We move at your pace. I don’t believe in pushing or pathologizing. I believe in creating a space where all parts of you are welcome — even the ones you’ve learned to hide, dismiss, or silence. With adults, our work often focuses on healing attachment wounds, reducing anxiety, softening self-criticism, and building more authentic, connected relationships. I help you notice and shift patterns that were once protective but are no longer serving you. We look at how your past might be living in your present — not to stay stuck there, but to understand how it shaped you and how you can move forward with more freedom and self-trust. With teens, I create a calm, grounded space where they can begin to make sense of what they’re feeling and who they’re becoming. Many of the teens I work with feel deeply but don’t always have the words. They might be navigating anxiety, identity questions, family dynamics, or emotional overwhelm. Therapy can be a place where they feel safe to be themselves, ask hard questions, and develop the tools to manage life’s complexities with more resilience. For couples, I support both partners in slowing down reactive patterns, improving communication, and rebuilding emotional safety. Many of the couples I work with are dealing with the impact of past trauma, ruptures in trust, or a sense of emotional disconnection. Together, we create space for honest conversations, deeper understanding, and more meaningful connection — even when it’s hard. At the core of my philosophy is the belief that healing happens in safe, attuned relationship. I don’t see you as a problem to be fixed — I see you as a person worthy of care, curiosity, and compassion. Therapy is not about changing who you are — it’s about reconnecting with yourself in a way that feels empowering and true. I also understand that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable. You don’t have to know exactly what you need or how to say it. You just have to be willing to show up — and I’ll meet you there. Therapy with me is a space where you can breathe. Where you don’t have to minimize your experience or pretend to have it all together. Where you can explore your past without getting stuck in it, and imagine a future that feels more aligned, grounded, and real. If you're ready for therapy that goes beyond coping — therapy that helps you feel more like yourself — I invite you to reach out. Let’s talk about what you’re hoping for and see if working together feels like the right fit. You deserve support that honors your story and helps you move forward. I’d be honored to walk with you.

I value honesty and being real as a helper, so the approach that comes most naturally to build a strong working relationship is humanistic with person-centered values: authentic, genuine, and empathetic. I am down-to-earth, and my work is rooted in my value of serving others. I have over 25 years of experience and expertise in several ways to offer psychotherapy. Though my role is to offer compassionate and ethical practice, I believe the choice of what and how therapy unfolds is yours! The issues I typically have treated are trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, cultural conflict, and relationships.

Many of my clients come to therapy for help with relationships, and are frustrated that they repeat patterns but don't have an alternative. I believe relationships are central to life and I also know that much of what we learn about how to relate comes from childhood. Often we've outgrown certain ways of interacting, but it can be hard to know what or how to do things differently. My approach to therapy is collaborative and leans heavily on curiosity. I don't see therapy as a place to "get fixed" but a place to explore, learn, and embrace who you are. In order to do things differently, we need to understand ourselves, and this requires an open, non-judgmental a mind. Of course it can feel difficult and even scary to learn about yourself or discover new things, so I will work at your pace and refer to you as the expert on your experiences. I have great respect for our ability to heal and grow if given the opportunity and a safe space to do so. I believe we are all capable of living a life that aligns with who we authentically are, not the person we created to make the world happy.

Are you feeling depressed, overwhelmed, or unsatisfied with your life or relationships? Do you need someone to listen and understand you? I have a passion for helping others achieve more fulfillment and balance in their lives. I primarily work with adults, couples, and adolescents, and use warmth and empathy to help address each unique individual's needs. My approach is integrative and holistic, combining traditional psychotherapy with mind-body techniques. This blended perspective helps people discover and unlock negative thoughts and patterns of the past, allowing them to focus on the present, feel more fulfilled, and achieve their goals for the future. I use mindfulness techniques to help individuals make more intuitive and authentic choices in their lives.

I offer a safe environment in which a person is free to discuss difficulties without fear of judgment. Our work together will often be goal directed, with each person deciding what that may look like for themselves. In my work with children, I utilize play therapy, which can take many forms, including drawing and game play as well as working closely with parents around challenging behaviors. I am additionally a certified EMDR Therapist, Approved EMDR Consultant and EMDR Trainer. I use EMDR therapy with both children and adults. EMDR therapy works effectively around a variety of challenges, including trauma, fearsphobias and PTSD.

Family and romantic relationships are challenging. It can be hard to ask for what you want. It has become normal for intimacy to die and it is my opinion that it does not have to be that way. As a licensed therapist who specializes in sex therapy I often have clients view their needs as unhealthy or their desires as shameful and I work to help clients feel authentic in their sexual expression. In therapy I help to nurture good communication and positive change. It is my goal to help individuals, partners, and couples connect deeply and feel safe. I am passionate about healing shame and facilitating communication about relationships orientation, sexual behavior, identity, sexual orientation, and much more. I've spent the last 12 years helping people cultivate healthy sex lives and relationships. My education and training equip me with a deep sense of empathy for clients facing that which feels impossible. When the emotions and feelings become overwhelming it might be time to try something else, it might be time to try therapy. I am Poly and open knowledgeable, kink and BDSM knowledgeable, LGBT affirming, queer affirming, asexual affirming, and sex worker friendly.

I'm interested in your life story thus far. As your therapy journey begins, it's helpful to consider being open-minded to get the most out of each session. I've found honesty and vulnerability lay the foundation to building a new freedom. Yes, I realize this is challenging, so let's take our time (baby steps) and see where the current of this journey takes us. Therapy does require commitment which will benefit you. With your permission, I find it important to consider our pasts (family & personal relationships). What experiences (negative or positive) have we learned from these relationships; as individuals and couples, are there any resulting effects on our communication skills, thoughts & behaviors, strengths & weaknesses. In therapy sessions, let's explore and discover any underlying issues. Negative life experiences can have long-term emotional effects which many fail to realize. We can address and process various forms of trauma & abuse and their effects on us (e.g., maladaptive behaviors, depression, and anxiety). Many of us walk around with heavy baggage from past abuse and trauma(s). Now that you're here, let's begin to unload all that baggage weight. Working with people of various ages and ethnicities is an honor. There's nothing more rewarding than being able to witness positive results and healthy outcomes for my clients. With my guidance and support, it's important that my clients know they do most of the work. For many, this is the first time for new experiences in a session: validation, new awareness, empathy, compassion, self-introspection, having a voice, self-care, experiencing emotional reactions, addressing pain and looking at life through a new lens. These are all part of the healing process and assist in strengthening resilience. I've worked with adolescents, adults, older adults in individual, couples and group therapy settings.
