Welcome. I’m very glad that you’ve stopped in to look at my profile. I'm a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) in MA. It’s a big step to think about asking for help and moving forward with that decision. You’ll bring your thoughts, feelings, and goals, and I’ll add my education, training, and experiences so that we, as a team, can work together to help lessen your struggles. I strive to provide an atmosphere of support, understanding, and caring. I offer virtual appointments both during the day, early evening appointments, and Saturdays. I will be your ally and advocate throughout our time working together.
I'm probably the best therapist you've never met. I've spent decades using myself as an instrument to help every kind of mad and bad I could find. I bet nearly all of them would tell you I've been of substantial help to their personal growth. Please take your time (not mine) checking me out. I've been tweeting for years because I like the haiku of it. Google me. Call if you're considering spending $300 to talk to me.
Do you feel lost, overwhelmed or disconnected from yourself and others? If you feel as though you are on autopilot and living life in monochrome sameness, I invite you to step back into vitality and meaning. I specialize in attachment injuries that show up in adulthood in ways that affect our relationships, identity and sense of purpose. As a trauma specialist, I treat the fallout from shock trauma or chronic stress that is often expressed in identity-related issues, PTSD, depression and or anxiety. Many of the clients who seek my services struggle with relationships centered around co-dependent behaviors and narcissistic abuse all of which can sometimes manifest as reactivity to perceived or real rejection or abandonment. They are also families managing diagnoses, that are sometimes non-affirming and pathological in their labeling. As in the case of autism, I see families and individuals contort themselves into compliant behaviors when really, what's *wrong* is an unaccepting and intolerant environment. Unfortunately, simply having insight into behaviors and pain doesn't always curb repeated cycles of reactivity or disconnection and these entrenched behaviors can affect how we relate to ourselves and others. My attachment focus extends to conditions not typically associated with neurodivergence that includes mood disorders such as bipolar in which we focus on present difficulties and future goals.
If you are here, you may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, spiritually disconnected, or simply tired from trying to hold everything together. You might be searching for clarity, peace, or just a safe place to be seen and heard without judgment. I want you to know that you are not alone and that healing is possible. My approach is gentle, thoughtful, and rooted in truth. I believe healing begins through trust, compassion, and a relationship grounded in grace. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner and a follower of Christ, I see each person as uniquely created by God and deeply worthy of love, healing, and purpose. I offer a safe and supportive space where we can work through the struggles of your mind and heart while helping you reconnect with who you truly are. Together, we will explore a holistic path to healing that nurtures your mind, body, and spirit. Whether you are seeking faith-integrated therapy, support with medication, or guidance through a challenging season, I am here to help. We will move at your pace, creating a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals, values, and faith. I believe God brings beauty from brokenness and that your story matters. If you are ready to begin a journey toward healing and renewal, I would be honored to walk alongside you. Taking the first step in asking for help can be very difficult. There is a level of uncertainty in trusting someone new with your care. I believe building a therapeutic relationship together with individuals actively engaged and committed to growth and healing is essential for the best treatment outcomes. I look forward to walking through this journey with you!

I am a licensed mental health counselor who has been in the human services for most of my adult life. I believe everyone is unique and deserving of love, empathy, and compassion. I have worked in group homes, schools, and clinical settings, but my love is to be outside, breathing the fresh air. I utilize meditation, person-centered therapy, art and music therapy, and solution-focused therapy. You can choose between in-person, telehealth, or walk-and-talk therapy. Comfort and confidentiality are the foundations of our sessions.
People arrive at a therapist's office, having tried their best way of getting along in the world, regardless of age, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, and so forth. A universal reason for seeking outside help is distress in a primary relationship. Relationship strife causes suffering, confusion, and profound misery. Often, relational troubles have their origin and are embedded in our earliest relationships dating back to childhood. In therapy, I help individuals understand how early relationships with parents, siblings, and significant others impact relationship troubles in the here and now. A solid therapeutic relationship offers an opportunity for exploration and understanding one's own mind at the deepest level. This can facilitate healing, new pathways of relating, greater authenticity, and living a life that's true to oneself. Trusting one's own mind provides a knowing that, despite life's challenges and ambiguity, our center will hold and not break apart, even when life tosses us around. Processing loss and making room for grieving is essential for well-being and emotional health, now and later. There are clinicians who offer rapid new age symptom relief interventions that promise to heal trauma in several sessions. Such a cure does not exist. Many of the individuals making these claims also pretend to be experts in neuroscience. All of us are touched by grief, loss, transition, and trauma. This is the very nature of life. Rather than perceiving grief as an adversary to be quickly dismantled and discarded, it may be far more productive to reappraise the value of grief as humanizing, a potential road to self-discovery, increased resilience, and other life-affirming qualities..
